“He’s probably out back, honey,” Scooby called as I stormed back upstairs, mistakenly thinking I was going to look for Tango.

I was not.

I was going to find my man.

Although, I had a feeling I knew exactly where he was.

Invasion of privacy, here I come.

After hacking into Wrath’s email and finding his flight confirmations, I made a few of my own arrangements, then called Jasmine. I couldn’t call my brother, or Parker, because they’d freak out and give me a massive lecture about not traveling while the Beast was in play. But Jasmine would be all over my girl move and find a way to help me hide Wrath’s body afterward.

“Hey, bitch,” she sing-songed, answering on the first ring.

“I need you to listen and say nothing to Wrath.”

“Say nothing to who?”

“I know he’s there, I already hacked his flights.”

She sighed. “I can neither confirm nor—”

“Shut it,” I hissed. “I’m coming.”

“Ah, no you’re not.”

“Yeah, I am.”

“Jette, it’s dangerous.”

“And I’m a trained FBI agent,” I pointed out.

“Alamo’s not going to like this, honey, and Doc will have an absolute shit fit, not to mention Rabbit.”

Jasmine was married to the Sergeant at Arms for the Dogs of Fire out of Savannah, and he was as protective of her as Wrath was of me… as were the rest of the brothers.

“Then give me six hours before you tell any of them,” I begged.

“Babe, I don’t know if I can do that.”

“Oh, come on. You’re my ride or die when it comes to men and their bullshit patriarchy.”

“Yeah, but not when there’s a real threat. And there’s a real threat.”

I rolled my eyes. “I’ll have a recruit drop me at security, and you can have someone pick me up.”

“You’re done,” a growl came from my doorway.

I turned to see Tango filling the frame with a scowl on his face.

“You ratted me out?” I hissed to Jasmine.

“I did no such thing,” she avowed.

“Hang up the phone, Sierra,” Tango ordered. “Wrath wants to talk to you.”

“I have to go, Jazz,” I said.

“Okay, honey, call me later.”
