“You do?” Her face scrunched up in horror. “Since when? Why?”
“A couple of years,” she said. “Doc insisted on it. Actually, Olivia did. Luckily, I haven’t had to use it. But if I press the little button on the back, an alarm goes straight to Orion’s phone, it also goes to Sundance, Moses, and my brother. It sends my exact location to them so they can find me.”
“I don’t want Aero to know where I am twenty-four-seven.”
“Ialreadyknow where you are twenty-four-seven,” he ground out.
“It’s the principle.”
“It only alerts when I press the button,” Raquel said. “Otherwise, it’s just a regular necklace.”
“What if you’re not a big necklace person?” Indigo asked.
“Some of the women wear bracelets,” Sierra said. “And Parker had a ring made for Rabbit.”
“Jesus,” I hissed. “She tracks him?”
“No,” she challenged. “She wanted a way to find him if he was in trouble because as you well know, sometimes you guys get in trouble too.”
“That,” Violet said. “If I have to wear a tracker, youhave to wear one.”
“Jesus, Sierra. Thanks for that,” Aero grumbled in Sierra’s direction, and I saw red.
Icould be irritated with her, but no one else could.
“You got a problem, Aero, you can come talk to me,” I said, glaring at him. “But otherwise, stow the fuckin’ attitude.”
“Okay, brothers,” Sundance said, stepping in. “We’re all here to find a solution and keep everyone safe. Not fight amongst ourselves.”
“I’m okay with wearing something pretty and sparkly,” Wyatt said. “If it has a GPS thingy on it, that’s fine, too.”
Sundance chuckled. “Yeah, I’m aware of your sparkly obsessions.”
“I’m fine with it too,” Rowan said.
“Me too,” Indigo said.
“Are any of you not good with it?” he asked.
“Yeah,me,” Violet said.
“I’ll deal with her,” Aero said, and Sundance nodded.
“Like hell you will,” Violet retorted.
“Sierra, are you good with getting with Rabbit to make that happen?” Sundance asked, ignoring his daughter.
“Of course,” she said.
“I think we’re gonna need to be prepared to lock down in the near future,” Sundance said. “We’ve got two more family cabins finished, so those of you with kids will have first choice of those if, and when, the time comes. In the meantime, make a list of things you need, and we’ll have the club and the cabins stocked. Everything, got it? Diapers, formula, baby food, whatever.” Sundance glanced around the room. “Dismissed.”
Everyone filed out of the room, and I followed Sierra as she tried to escape up the stairs to her room. She even tried to run.
I was faster.
“Nice try,” I said, as I slid through the door as she turned to close it on me.
“Get out.”
