“Okay. I’ll stay.”

He kissed me gently, then we put away the food and snuggled up close letting the movie lull us to sleep.

Wrath

Present Day…

“They’re pickin’ themoff, one-by-one,” Scooby snapped.

It was Wednesday and it was an all-hands church meeting.

“Yeah, brother, I know,” Sundance said. “Hatch, Doc, and I are closing ranks. Talkin’ about callin’ in Minus from the Burnin’ Saints as well.”

“We should have our women do what the other women did,” I said.

“Trackers?” Sundance asked.

I nodded. Doc’s woman, Olivia, had decided to give all the old ladies necklaces that contained trackers. With one press of a button, it sent out a silent alarm to both the club and their man, giving their exact location.

“They won’t be out of our sight long enough to need them,” Scooby avowed.

“You’ve got a nice, amiable woman who tends to do what you tell her to do,” Aero pointed out with a mirthless chuckle. “Me, not so much.”

“Yeah, me neither,” Orion piped in.

Aero was right.

Scooby had recently found his way to happy, and that happy was in the form of a woman named Rowan. Although, Rowan wasn’t a pushover, she did tend to bend more than Aero’s woman, Violet. I didn’t know Jekyll’s woman, Indigo as well, but I had a feeling she’d be less than open to be tracked. And Raquel, well, Raquel was a different kettle of fish altogether. She and Sierra were best friends for a reason.

“We could always ask,” Jekyll said. “They’re here. Ask ’em to come in.”

Sundance gave a chin lift toward the back of the room. “Healy, get the women.”

Tango met my eye with an eyebrow raise and I shrugged. This was gonna be interesting.

“Ooh, we’re being allowed into the inner sanctum,” Violet sassed as the women filed in. “Whatever will we do with ourselves? Aren’t you afraid we’ll take trade secrets to your enemies?”

“See?” Aero said.

“See what?” Violet asked.

“Oh, nothing dear,” he droned.

She grinned, tugging on his beard as she sat in his lap. Wyatt made her way to Sundance, handing their son, Braxton, to him as he stood so she could take his seat, while the rest of the women either sat in front of, or stood, with their men at the table. I noticed Sierra stayed close to Raquel, rather than coming to me, and I didnotlike that at all.

She met my eyes, and I raised an eyebrow, but she shook her head and looked away again. I frowned. She’d been pulling away lately. More so than normal and I was fuckin’ over it.

“Why are we here?” Violet asked.

“Talkin’ about trackers,” Aero said.

“Chipping us like dogs?” she asked. “Um, no thanks.”

“Letti—”

“You already track my phone, even though I tell you exactly where I’m going, not that it matters, I have a recruit on me at all times,” she grumbled.

“It’s not so bad, Letti,” Raquel said, pulling a necklace from behind her T-shirt. “I have one.”
