She shrugged. “I don’t have a lot of time for hobbies.”

He chuckled and shook his head. “I’ve heard you singing karaoke. Girl, you got some pipes on you.”

He watched her cheeks turn pink. “Thanks.”

“Did you train?” he asked her.

“No, just… Both of my parents are musical. I grew up singing with them.” She glanced over his shoulder as a couple stepped through the front doors and headed towards the desk.

He knew he’d have to let her get back to work. He wanted to hang around until after she answered the couple’s questions, but then he spotted Elle walking towards him. She had that look in her eyes, the one she always got when she needed to ask him a favor.

Leaving the front desk area, he met Elle in front of the large staircase.

“What do you need me to do this time?” he asked as she stopped in front of him. He noticed that her hands covered her growing belly.

Hannah was a few months more pregnant than Elle, but their belly sizes were almost identical. Maybe because Hannah was like five-six and Elle was almost as tall as he was?

Elle smiled at him. “I was hoping you’d help me.” She grabbed his arm and dragged him towards her office.

He was a sucker for her and the rest of the Wildflowers. To be honest, if it wasn’t for them, he’d probably be stuck in a job in an office or worse. His soul yearned to be on the water. Thrived there.

He was pretty sure that it would shrivel up and die if it didn’t have a daily dose of wind and waves.

He couldn’t wait until both she and Hannah had their kids. Most of the time they wanted him to lift things or get things down off of high shelves.

He didn’t mind, but today it was eating into his flirting time with Jules.

“When are those babies due again?” he asked as they stepped into her office.

She stopped dead and looked at him. Her eyes going big.

“How did you know?” she asked as she bit her bottom lip.

“Know?” he asked, his eyes going down to her large belly. Then it hit him. He suddenly understood why she was the same size as Hannah even though her due date was three months behind her friends. “Holy shit,” he said, covering his mouth and then doing a little dance around Elle. “Twins,” he sang as he twirled her in his arms.

“Shh!” She laughed and reached over to shut her door. “I thought…” She narrowed her eyes. “You meant Hannah’s baby and mine, didn’t you?”

He nodded. “Yeah, but now.” He wiggled his eyebrows. “Twins.”

“Shh!” she said again. “No one knows yet. Liam and I want to keep it a secret until the gender reveal this week.”

“Okay, okay, I gotcha.” He nodded and then pulled her into his arms. Then he drew back. “Hey, I thought you weren’t supposed to know the sex of the baby until the big gender reveals this weekend?”

“We don’t know the sex, or sexes.” She smiled. “But we knew early on there were two of them.” She rubbed her hands over her belly. “During the doctor’s appointment, we heard both heartbeats.”

“Congrats, mama.” He hugged her again.

Just then the office door opened, and Liam stepped in. The man’s eyes narrowed for a second then he smiled at them. “Should I be worried?” he asked playfully.

Damion dropped his arms and then walked over and slapped Liam on the shoulder. “Just heard your good news is doubled.”

Liam frowned and looked over at Elle.

“My misunderstanding,” she said with a roll of her eyes. “He asked when the babies were due.” She shook her head. “Pregnancy fog had me believing he meant”—she pointed to her stomach with both of her thumbs— “instead of me and Hannah.”

Liam chuckled and shut the door behind him. “I told you we wouldn’t be able to keep it a secret for much longer.” Liam walked over and hugged Elle. “You’re getting too big.”

“Me?” She glanced down at her belly.
