I rolled my eyes and looked at Calla for commiseration. Toby always made a production out of everything. “Do you need me to do a drum roll?”

“That would be appreciated.”

I shrugged out of his hold. “Out with it already.”

He gave a mock pout. “You never let me have any fun.”

Jinx smacked him upside the head. “One of these days, she’s gonna hit you.”

“All right, all right. It’s Sport-ade.”

My jaw fell open. “Seriously?”

“Fifty Gs. We just have to show you drinking one of their drinks at some point in your video. And they want to talk about long-term sponsorship.”

I pulled my towel tighter around me. If they kept up that kind of money for each video, we would set a record this year. “Did you send the offer to Angela?”

“I wanted to wait until I told you.”

“Send it. If the contract looks good, we are going to need to celebrate.”

Jinx rubbed his hands together. “Hells, yeah. I’ve been eyeing this new bike, and I’m pulling the trigger if this goes through.”

Toby shot me a cocky grin as he crossed his arms over his chest. “Go ahead. You can admit it.”

“Admit what?”

“Don’t make me say, ‘I told you so.’”

I groaned. Toby had been the one to suggest this channel in the first place, trying to convince me that I could make real money on the platform. “You don’t need anything else going to your big head.”

He moved fast, lifting me into his arms and starting for the water. “What were you saying?”

“Don’t you dare. I will cut you out of this deal and put pink hair dye in your shampoo.”

“You talk a big game, but I know you’d never.”

I gave his side a hard pinch.

“Ow! Hell, woman.”

I twisted the skin. “Set me down on land, or I’ll go for your nipple next.”

“Shit!” Toby practically tossed me on the grassy shore. “That was uncalled for.”

I gave him my best innocent smile. “Who, me? I’dneverdo something like that.”

Jinx wrapped an arm around Toby’s shoulders. “You should know by now that there’s a lot of badass in that tiny package.”

“Damn straight,” I muttered.

“How could I forget?” Toby moved out of Jinx’s hold and dropped to one knee, taking my hand. “Please, dear badass maiden, forgive me.”

I swallowed down my chuckle and looked at Calla. “Has he been playing those weird role-playing games again lately?”

She snickered. “Probably. He’s always playing something.”

“Hey, now,” Toby griped. “It’s no fair, two against one.”
