"I won't leave.” Not ever.

From that day on, I didn't leave. I stayed and cared for Noel and Mo, and a week later, when it was clear that he had his strength back, I still didn't leave. Instead, I helped him organize all the legal paperwork to adopt Mo, of which there was a lot of it from a social worker, U.S. Immigration, and the Mexican government. Normally, the process took a long time, but Noel’s lawyers and Bran’s connections with important people in the U.S. and Mexico, we were able to keep Mo with us during the process and speed up all the clearances.

About a week later, Noel and I had finished bathing Mo and putting him to bed, when Noel led me out onto his balcony. "I need to talk to you about something."

In my experience, those words usually preceded something bad. So immediately, my guard went up.

He must've noticed because he tugged me close and kissed me until my toes curled. "It's not bad."

He sat down on a chaise lounge and tugged me down until I was sitting between his legs, my back resting against his chest.

"I'm a very lucky man. I have the most beautiful woman in the world. She's carrying my child. And pretty soon Mo will be legally adopted."

I snuggled back against him. "You are a lucky guy."

For a moment he was silent, which again caused me concern.

"But it's not yet perfect."

"What would make it perfect?"

"You."

I tilted my head to look up at him. “I'm already here."

He nodded. "Yes, but I want more. I want you to be my wife and I want your name on the adoption papers as Mo's mother."

My breath hitched as the final puzzle piece to make my life complete fell into place. "Really?"

He smiled and kissed my nose. "Yes, really Harper. If it's too soon or if I'm moving too fast let me know —"

I reached up and pressed my fingers over his lips. "I want to be your wife and Mo's mother."

The relief and joy on his face was one of the greatest gifts I could ever receive.

"I love you so much." The truth of his words shone in his eyes.

"I love you too."

He kissed me and just like that, he turned up the heat full throttle.

"I'm healed, you know. I think it's time that you put my dick out of its misery."

I laughed, turning in the chair to straddle him. "Does this mean you have blue balls?"

"Unless they've shriveled up and fallen off, yes."

“Goodness. That’s one area of your body I haven’t been examining or tending too.”

“No wonder he feels ignored.”

I tugged his shirt off. The once black and blue bruises were now a barely there yellow hue. My fingers slipped under his short’s waistline and pulled them down until his dick, long and thick, popped out.

“He’s looking okay to me.” I leaned over and kissed the tip.

Noel groaned. “He’s so fucking lonely.” He pulled me to him for a kiss. “Get naked, woman.”

I stood up and shucked off my shirt and t-shirt.
