“Do you have his number?” he questioned.

I shook my head. “But I know where he works. Feel like taking a trip to the hospital?”

He got up and said, “It’s better than meeting him at the pub.”

“You won’t be saying that if Dr. O’Connor says yes,” I teased.

“I’m humoring you, but don’t get your hopes up. We know nothing about him,” Logan said in a serious tone. “We don’t even know if he is in fact a doctor.”

I get it, finding a qualified person wasn’t a joking matter, but I believed Logan was still upset about last night. That was his issue, not mine. I grabbed my purse and said, “Well, let’s change that and go talk to someone at the hospital.”

If I stopped and thought about this, I would agree with Logan, but my gut said we wouldn’t need to look any further.

Even if we want him, will he want Tabiq?

Logan shook his head. “It’s not that simple. I need to run background checks on him. Check his credentials. Because even if he is a physician, it does not mean you’d want him treating patients.”

“Fine, you can stay here, and I’ll go talk to him myself,” I stated. “This way we won’t be wasting time.”

“I promised Jasper I would not let you out of my site again.”

“Then I guess you’re coming with me to the hospital, because that’s where I’m headed.”

“You are as stubborn as your brother,” he said.

I smiled. “I prefer to think of myself as determined.”

Right now, I was out to prove Logan wrong. The way Finn talked about how a doctor should be dedicated to his patients weren’t just words. Something said he was talking from his heart.

Don’t let me be wrong about him.
