“I know she got into some trouble, here and there, but I don’t think that she was ever arrested,” Trinity said. “I’ll look into that when I file the paperwork for the restraining orders.”

He was sure he knew the answer to the next question he was about to ask before the words were even out of his mouth. “You want to defend her, don’t you?” he asked. Trinity looked down at Bella, who was sleeping soundly in her car seat and back up at Ace.

“I do,” she whispered. “I know it sounds crazy after everything she’s put you through, but she’s still my sister,” Trinity said. “How do you feel about me representing her?”

“Your sister is the mother of my child and I will always be grateful to her for giving me Bella. I think that she needs help right now, more than she needs to be locked away in prison. Will you be able to get her into a rehab facility?” he questioned.

Trinity nodded, “I believe I can,” she agreed. “Thank you for this, Ace,” she said.

“Any time, Baby,” he whispered, pulling her in for a quick kiss. “Your kind, forgiving heart was one of the things that drew me to you in the first place,” he said.

Trinity giggled, “And here I thought it was my body that drew you to me,” she teased.

“Well, your sexy curves didn’t hurt,” he admitted.
