“So we’re looking at book one, obviously. High Stakes. It will be seven episodes,” Marissa said, pulling up a slide. “We’ve secured the three beach spots for filming in April through mid-May, and several of the bars and restaurants.”

Harper glanced at Daniel again and found his eyes boring into her. His jaw tight and he shifted in his chair. This was clearly as difficult for him as it was for her.

The need to cry out as the vibration massaged the inside of her pussy was close. Harper's mouth parted, and he looked away.

Oh, God.

“The Hawaii Film Studio is already booked for some of the scenes we need,” Thomas said. “But we are just locking in the final two or three. We may need to rethink those.”

The vibration finally turned off.

Harper coughed. “It’s, um, essential we don’t drop the plane scene. It’s really key. It just won’t work anywhere else, nor make sense.”

It was one of her pain points and she was grateful to Daniel for turning off the toy at the moment he had.

Denise leaned forward. “We understand, Harper, but they don’t have a film set for it here, and if we have to find something in LA or hire a private jet, it’s going to blow the budget. Let’s keep talking about it and see what happens.”

Which was code for it's not going to happen, and we’ll break it to you at the last minute.

Harper ground her teeth and nodded. She didn’t want to be the dramatic author who caused problems, but she owed it to her readers to ensure the integrity of the story—its essence—was kept as true as possible.

“I look forward to hearing what the solution will be.”

“As for the hotel, Harry and I will work for the next few days to find the best rooms with the best light and book them in,” Marissa said.

“Let’s discuss the PR side of things, Mr. Dufort,” Denise said. “What are your concerns? Or any operational ones.”

Daniel turned to Harry, who leaned forward an inch. Harper liked how he let the junior executive take the lead.

“Operationally, we see none. It’s great to have your team here to lock in the dates early, so during production we will have the least interruption to our guests,” Harry said. “The scenes in the lobby will need to be done between midday and three in the afternoon, which is our quietest time.”

Everyone nodded and took notes.

Harper glanced at Daniel and found him watching her. His eyes glistened with an emotion she couldn’t place.

Then he blinked, and it was gone.

“Mr. Dufort, did you want to cover the PR?” Harry said.

“I have no concerns. Dufort Hotels marketing will promote this in partnership with BookFlix as per our contract, but I’d also like to offer Dufort Waikiki as a venue for the media launch.”

Harper's eyes widened.

“Are you aware it will be Thanksgiving weekend?” Denise asked, looking as surprised as Harper.

“Yes,” he said. “Waikiki will be buzzing and I’m sure the cast and media won’t mind a few days in Hawaii for the event.”

Harper hid a smile.

Daniel was smart. By offering Dufort Waikiki as the media venue, he was keeping the media focused on his hotels.

“I think we can work with that,” Denise replied. “Harper, looks like you’ll be returning to Hawaii before the end of the year.”

Oh.

Seeing Daniel beyond this time together had not really occurred to her. It was a stark reminder she needed to keep her emotions in check, and that this was only a holiday romance.

A really damn hot one.

She glanced over at Kat who was still eyeballing Daniel and pressed her lips together. Soon Daniel would be back in New York sleeping with his cocktail of rich Manhattan women.

Which was fine. Totally fine.
