“Oh, well... a little bit of everything, I guess. I run events within the angel community. I’m also on the school board, and for the past few years we have been testing out a scholarship program for people of lower level realms to come to earth to be given the chance at a better future.” She smiles like she's doing the whole world the biggest favor ever. At least, I won’t be the only odd man out at this school.

“Cool.” I nod.

“Anyway, I’ll leave you to your movie,” she says, waving her hand to my computer. “Please feel free to get anything you might need, no matter the cost, that card is yours. I won’t be home on Monday, but I’ve asked the boys to give you a ride.”

She gives me a lingering look before turning around and leaving.

“Well, this is gonna be so much fun,” I groan, flopping back onto my bed. Rolling over onto my belly, I pull my laptop closer and search up Angelic Academy.

Clicking on their website, I’m not surprised to find everything looking all bright and cheery. As I read, it's like, almost every other word is ‘pure’ this or ‘God’ that.

Is my mother on drugs?Like really, because did it ever cross her mind that maybe the daughter of the Devil doesn’t belong in a school full of pure bloods, who worship God like the sun shines out of his ass? I mean, I guess it could; heisGod.

But like, they read the bible, right? Although, it doesn’t quite say whatreallywent down, it does give you a good idea. And to them, my dad is the most evil person to ever exist. I don’t have high hopes for what they are going to think of me.

Reading a part on the main page, it says that Angelic Academy teaches kindergarten all the way up through college. There are separate buildings for elementary, junior high, and high school. Plus, there’s a college campus on the opposite side of the property.

The site shows pretty normal looking classes. Different types of Math, English, Art, Music, Earth History, and Earth Science. There’s also a list of things I have no interest in learning, like The History of Angels, Angels studies, and a Gospel Music class. Looking at my class schedule, I’m glad to see that I don’t have any of those. But I do have Gym.I could live with that.

Finding a tab that says ‘school rules’, I click on it and wonder how strict this place is going to be. My eyes skim over the guidelines and I roll my eyes, not at all surprised at what I’m reading.

No swearing. No physical touching outside of committed relationships or fated mates. Wear the school uniform according to school regulations. All clothing must cover the breasts, buttocks, and stomach. Bullying and demeaning other students is prohibited. The list goes on and on.

I note that about ninety percent of these rules the guys have, already broken.

Closing my laptop, I put it on my side table. Looking at the time, I see that it's getting late, and I should probably get some sleep before my first day at my version of Hell.

Remember Abby, you're only here for the chance to get out of Hell before never leaving again. No matter how much it sucks, going to this school is part of my requirement to stay here. It's totally worth it because anything is better than the life I was living before now. Right?
