TODAY HAS BEEN A REALLYweird day.

I have two mates now, making my life a lot more complicated. There’s nothing I can do about it right now, though. I don’t even have a way to contact Zed, and I have no idea where he lives, so I can’t just find him and talk to him. So for now, I'll just have to wait and hope I see him again.

Something about this place upsets him, and I’d like to know why he took off so abruptly.

Punching in the code to the gate, I start heading toward the house.

“Where the Hell have you been?” Isaac demands as I walk inside the house.

Really?I just want to go upstairs, shower, get something to eat, and go to bed. I don't even care about schoolwork at this point.

“None of your business, that's where,” I snap, already over being in his presence. I move to head up the stairs, but he moves in front of me. Luke and Noah step into the foyer to watch.

“Move,” I demand, trying to step past him, but he moves with me. Letting out a frustrated sigh, I try the other side, but he does the same thing.

“Where were you? School ended hours ago.”

“Where was I?” I screech, having enough of his shit. “I was walking home because you assholes left me at school!”

“You could have flown home,” Luke pipes in. I shoot him a glare, wanting to slap the smirk off his face.

“Haha, you’re so funny,” I deadpan.

“I’d like to think so.” His grin widens.

“Look, I'm wet, I'm hungry, and tired. Can you just get out of my way?”

“What did the Heathers want?” Noah asks.

“Why do you care?”And why not just ask them yourself?

“Answer the question,” Isaac barks.

My eyes flick back over to him. “Fine,” I sneer, crossing my arms. “They wanted to warn me away from you. They told me to keep my whorish paws off their men.” I let out a dry laugh. “Like I’m the one they need to be having that conversation with. Maybe they should be giving the third degree to the lovely ladies who have been coming and going during the late hours of the night.”

Isaac’s grey eyes flash with something dangerous. “You better keep that to yourself, do you understand? If you breathe a word of what goes on in this house, I’ll make you wish you never left Hell, and send you straight back there, Devil’s Spawn,” he spits.

“Fuck you!” I snarl.Who the Hell does he think he is?Just because he’s older than me doesn't mean he has the right to tell me what to do. I’m a damn adult. Also, if he doesn’t want people finding out where he sticks his dick, maybe he should just keep it to himself.

“In your fucking dreams,” he sneers.

“You still didn’t answer his question,” Luke sing-songs, and I’m seconds away from kneeing him in the junk.

“I met a friend. We got to talking, he walked me home.” Not that they deserve to know anything about me, but I’m not in the mood to keep this bullshit going.

“He?” Noah asks, his brows pinching.

“Yeah, he. You know, a guy.” I cock a brow. What is with all the questions?

“Who?” Isaac asks.

“Doesn't matter who.”

“Who?” he growls.

Gritting my teeth, I answer, knowing he will only harass me until I do. “His name is Zed, okay? He’s a nice guy.”
