I take a step back at the look on Isaac’s face. His pupils dilate as he gives off a darker energy.
“I’m only going to tell you once, stay away from Zed.” His tone is a deadly warning. My pulse picks up, but I’m not sure if it's out of fear or arousal.What the Hell is wrong with me?
“What?” I ask, gaping at him. He can not be for real right now. “You can’t tell me what to do.” Anger starts to bubble up inside me, and I have to will my horns to stay down before I give him more of a reason to think of me as a freak.
“I can, and I will. You're eighteen, I’m twenty-one. This is my house, and while your mother is away, you're under my care. I’m telling you to stay away, Abby.”
“No.” I take a step towards him. I can feel the air around me crackle. He looks like he's seconds away from strangling me, but he takes a step back.
“You've been warned,” is all he says before turning around and taking off with the other two following behind him.
Sleep. I need sleep. My stomach growls in protest. Food first, shower, then sleep.
