“Ten percent, huh? That’s pretty generous of you Viper,” Dom adds with a glare at the two men beside him.

“It’s what I can offer. The way I see it, we both can fill our pockets and re-negotiate these outdated terms.”

He starts to fidget, and I can tell by his pupils he’s on something.

I lean in and put out my cigarette in the ashtray. “I appreciate the offer, but I’m going to have to pass.”

His eyes narrow on me. “You might reconsider Maverick. I’m doing you a favor by asking.”

I tilt my head. “I won’t reconsider. I’m not fucking interested.”

His lip turns up in a grin. “You know I heard how upset you two were about my boy's visit to Maxi’s. I wouldn’t want to have to pay those pretty girls another visit.” He licks his lips. “Next time I may have to get my hands on that pretty blonde.”

“Fuck you,” Dom spits.

I hold up a hand to calm him.

“You sure you want to play that game, Viper?”

He grins and I pull out my phone.

I hit Romeo’s name.

“Prez,” he answers.

“Put her on,” I ordered.

“Here she is.”

The phone rustles and I hear a woman’s cry flow through the speaker. I sit my phone down on the tabletop and tap the speaker phone. “Your wife would like to speak to you, Viper.”

The color drained from his face as his wife cried out from the speaker.

“You did a decent job of hiding them. It took us a few days, but we found them.” I slide my phone back towards me. “Your son is what, four? Cute kid.”

He slams a first down on the table. “Motherfucker,” he growls.

I lean in so I’m staring him dead in the eyes. “You fuck with my family; I fuck with yours. You think I will let you threaten my family and let it go? You come anywhere near my territory again, I'll make sure to put a bullet between both of their eyes.”

His nostrils flare as he looks over to his men.

I speak, bringing his attention back to me. “Now. I hope we have an understanding. I want your word right now. No more bullshit. We stick to the original agreement, and you stay off my fucking turf and away from my family.”

His wife is still crying on the line. Viper shoots daggers at me as he clenches his fists. He stays silent.

I sigh, “Romeo, take her out back, pu...”

“Alright!” Viper growls. “You got my word.”

I raise a brow. “Romeo. Never mind.”

I hang up my phone and slide it back to my pocket. “Well now that we have an understanding. I think this meeting is over.”

Viper stands, and his men file out of the booth.

“You can see yourself out,” I say as Amelia appears with our round of drinks.

He doesn’t speak but turns and stalks towards the club doors.

“Did he really think we would roll over and give up our turf?” Dom scoffs as he slings back a shot.

I shake my head. “I think we got the message across.”

Everyone takes a shot and raises a hand for another round.

“Might as well enjoy ourselves while we’re here,” Widow says as Pixie and Bunny make their way to our table.

Hell, why not?
