The man with the scar snorts. “Fucking ballrooms. You’d never meet someone like us there anyway, honey. And we’re the best you can get.”

Haven laughs out loud at that. “Pretty sure of yourselves, aren’t you?”

“We know what we’re worth,” says the one with his arm over her shoulders. “And we know what you’re worth, too, which is every single little thing you could ever want. In bed and in life.”

My blood starts to buzz in my veins as I watch her blush. My brain reminds me of the little noises she made as she sucked my cock. The way she smelled, aroused and ready.

“I have a question for you, beautiful,” says the third alpha in the hot tub. “If we were to red-rose you, would you give us a chance to knot you in the Starlight Suite? Maybe even bite you?”

Haven’s eyes go wide, and she looks around, as if suddenly realizing the situation she’s in. “Oh, um. Maybe? But aren’t you… aren’t Randy and Anne…?”

“Nothing is decided yet, sugar,” the alpha with the scar purrs. “And if we have a chance to take someone as sweet as you, we’re not gonna pass it up.”

Haven bites her lip. “I like you guys, I really do.”

“But?” urges the alpha with his arm around her.

“But I have feelings for someone else. Two someones. So it might be hard for me.”

I blow out a shuddering breath at her words. My sweet, loyal Haven.

“An alpha?” one of them asks.

Haven nods. “One of them is.”

My heart beats faster in my chest. The feeling is mutual, girl, I think, sending the words toward her as if I can reach her telepathically.

“And where are they now?” the scarred one asks softly.

Haven bites her lip. “Well. We parted. The alpha… he said he didn’t want me.”

My stomach drops at her words. Is that what Reese said to her before she left the townhouse?

“We appreciate your honesty, darling,” purrs the scarred alpha. “But I think if you give us a chance, we can make you forget about that moron.”

“He’s not a moron,” says Haven quickly.

“I disagree,” the alpha replies with a gentle smile. “Clearly they are a moron if they let you go. That was a big mistake. Someone as precious as you should feel loved every day. We can do that for you.”

Haven bites her lip. “Thank you,” she says softly. “That’s a wonderful thing to say. I’ll think about it, ok?”

“Of course, baby. Just don’t think too long.”

The alphas help Haven out of the hot tub, and she sways on her feet a little as the scarred one drapes a towel around her shoulders. They lead her away into the mansion, and I’m left outside, my whole body trembling with need and anger.

How could Reese have let her go? How could he have told her something so fucking wrong? What the hell was he thinking?

In an instant, I realize that I don’t care what he was thinking. Haven is feeling hurt and rejected. And I’m going to make sure that ends today. I’m going to get her back; I’m going to convince Reese that we’re all meant to be together. We’re going to be a pack, no matter how hard he’s trying to fuck this up.

***

I wait until the end of the day. I have to watch Haven with all three packs. They’re obviously enamored, just like we were. The other omegas swarm around, trying to take attention from her, but as soon as the alphas scent Haven, everyone else seems to fade to the background.

I’m not surprised there haven’t been more red roses this season; it seems like both the alphas and the omegas are not as keen on each other as they should be for a romance show. I wonder how Jenn is going to recut the footage to make it seem as if everyone is in love.

Through it all, Haven seems unsure of herself. She lets the pack members touch her, scent her, hold her. She lets them talk as much shit as they want about the other packs, though she shuts down any critiques of the other omegas.

But when it comes to promising anything for the rose ceremony, she hesitates. I’m proud of her; proud of her for being honest despite the drama around her. It would have been easy for her to fall into the arms of the first pack who offered for her. Especially since they actually seem like decent men; they’re captivated by our Haven. They want to purr and pleasure and pamper her. She deserves it. But she’s going to get it from me, not them.
