“Wait, what?” Amber asked.
“We’re betting Cesar is going to want to make you his in all the ways,” Nia said.
“But it’s not like that.”
Nia looked confused. “What do you mean?”
“He doesn’t like me like that.”
Sienna grinned. “Oh, it’s exactly like that. So unless you don’t want him, you’ll end up under him soon.”
“Do you?” Nia asked.
Amber glanced at her. “Do I what?”
“Want him?”
“Yes, but he’s not going to want me when he gets to know me better.”
Sienna scowled. “Why?”
“Because I’m clumsy and not very smart, and I’ll never be thin or pretty.”
“Who told you that bullshit?” Sienna asked.
“Sienna, baby, language.”
Sienna rolled her eyes. “Yes, daddy.”
“Now, tell us where you heard that bull … poop?”
Amber wanted to laugh at the disgruntled look on the woman’s face and guessed it was hard for her not to curse.
“My mom and sister have pointed out my flaws for a long time.”
“They sound like bitches,” Nia said.
“Nia, watch your mouth,” Travis said from across the room.
Sienna snickered. “Ha, now who’s the naughty one?”
“I always get in trouble when I’m with you,” Nia said.
“And do you get punished because of it?” Sienna asked.
Nia rolled her eyes and hissed. “Yes.”
“You’re welcome.” Sienna smirked.
Amber started to giggle at the shocked and then mirthful look on Nia’s face.
“Thank you,” Nia said and then laughed.
“Ohhh.” Amber groaned and pressed on her ribs.
Nia patted her shoulder. “Don’t laugh. I imagine it can’t feel good with your sore ribs.”
Amber nodded and exhaled. “You’re right, it doesn’t.”
