“Yes!” I cried, squeezing my thighs together and locking him in our loving making mold.

Matt pounded hard, making me crash into the bed with each thrust. His lips crashed down to mine often, as we settled in the soothing fashion of holding onto one another, clinging in desperation, and silencing our moans. He would slip back, then plunge in with thunderous desire, until our orgasms let loose, and we came together.

My heart was racing so hard in my chest that I could barely control the pitter patter. He slowly softened, then pulled out of me. I ran my fingers down his back, covering each of his rigid muscles. His mouth drifted from mine, so he could kiss my shoulder. He fell beside me and snuggled up against me, with his lips against my neck, softly breathing against my skin.

I sighed, with a smile planted on my lips and my arm wrapped around him. “I could get used to this,” he said with a laugh.

I giggled and turned my eyes towards him. He shifted, so that we were staring directly at one another. “I could get used to this, too,” I said, before moving closer to him and latching my lips on his. Our naked bodies were pressed together, while he stroked my arm, as the kiss continued to heat both of us up. When our lips parted, we just looked at one another. “

Th

is was one of the best days of my life, Tasha,” he said. “Thank you.”

“For what? It’s me that’s thankful for the invitation.”

“Oh no, you could have turned me down. It’s me that’s the lucky one. I’m blessed that Dana referred you to work for me, and even more blessed to know you.”

“Oh well, you’d better be glad I lost my job at the right time, which just goes to show we never know when our blessings will come, or in what way they will come,” I admitted.

“Baby, I’m blessed that you care so much about Cody, and it’s just downright a gift from God that you choose to be with me, to give yourself to me. I love you, Tasha,” he said.

“I love you too, Matt.” I kissed the top of his forehead, before closing my eyes and snuggling up against him. I couldn’t help it. The long trip from Colorado, the party, the sex had all drained me empty. The soft sound of Matt breathing was what I drifted off to sleep to. It was a sound I could listen to forever.

I opened my eyes as the sun shone in the bedroom. I looked off to my side and found Matt soundly sleeping. I leaned in closer to him and took in a soft whiff of his woodsy scent. I touched my lips to his and started sneaking in feather kisses all over his lips, until he slid his hand up my back and lengthened the kiss.

“Hmmm…baby, I want to wake up like this every morning,” he said.

I moaned my approval. “I do too.”

I pulled back and looked away. I wanted to mention something. Matt had been a bachelor for a long time, and I didn’t want him to think I was rushing things.

“What are you thinking about?” he asked, running his hand up and down my arm. I looked back at him and he held the sincerest of smiles.

“I want you to come to Atlanta with me,” I quickly stated.

He laughed. “Sure, but is there a particular reason, or do you just like Atlanta?” he asked.

“It’s my hometown,” I replied. “My family is there, and I would love for you to meet them.” His eyes raised in surprise, and I worried that I was asking too much. “If you don’t want to, and you think it’s too early, then I completely understand.”

“Shhh…” he whispered. He brushed a finger to my lips. “I would love to.”

I heaved a sigh of relief and nodded, then leaned forward to kiss him, but as we kissed, it did bring me to ask a question.

Again, I didn’t want to push the envelope too far, but I wanted to know the answer. “So, haven’t really heard about your parents. Do they live near? Are you close to them?”

His face clouded over with a stoic look. I could literally see the wall going up around him with each passing moment. “The only family you need to concern yourself with is Cody and my sister and brother-in-law that raised him until they died in a car wreck.” He pulled himself up and got out of my bed.

“Baby, are you alright?” I asked.

“I’m fine.”

“I’ll drop it if it’s a bad subject. I was just curious.”

He turned around and faced me. “I had a good time last night,” he said and started putting on his clothes. “But I think it’s time that I leave.”

“Matt, I’m sorry if I said something wrong. I didn’t mean to—” I stopped when he held up his hand. All of this was confusing me. One minute we were trying to mold into one and the next he seemed miles away from me emotionally.
