Sweat beaded on his back as fire ants crawled from under his feet and continued their march up his body. Would he be expected to give Dex head? The kid never complained about always being the one to bottom in all and any fashion, but wouldn’t he want some attention on his cock eventually? He might enjoy all the dick he could get, but his own was just as functional as Hammer’s, and in his sexcapade stories, Dex had mentioned several times that he’d topped men too. More importantly, did Hammerwantto suck dick? If he tried it once and didn’t like it, would Dex expect him to continue regardless?

He lost track of what Dex was saying, but it seemed like they were moving on to the practical part of the quick lesson.

“We don’t have to count points this round. I’ll go first.” Dex smiled at him, but when he faced the board, it was as if everything else around him had disappeared.

Still lost in thoughts about cocksucking, Hammer watched Dex swallow and then stretch as he regarded his target. The T-shirt he wore clung to his body, revealing his toned form and leaving the muscular arms bare. Tanned, inked, and dusted with golden hairs, they were so tempting Hammer wanted to bite in, but then his attention lapsed, settling on Dex’s crotch.

He had undressed him, and touched his cock, but how would it feel toget closerand smell his pubes? How would he taste?

Dex swung his arm, and a sliver of skin appeared as the fabric of his top rolled up, revealing the tempting path of hairs, which descended toward his tool.

When the axe hit an inch away from the bullseye, Dex jumped up and fist-pumped, completely unaware of the effect he was having on Hammer. Did he also ponder these things the way Hammer did? He was so easy-going he hadn’t even asked what changed Hammer’s mind on having sex. He took everything at face value and didn’t question what would happen once their little bubble burst.

“Score! Nowyoutry!” Dex said, running over to the board to grab his axe.

Hammer’s gaze lingered on Dex’s ass, but he quickly focused on the tool in his hand, weighing it to figure out how to best approach this exercise. It did not feel like a knife. He waited for Dex to join him and only then tried to aim, imagining the trajectory of the axe. Dex’s attention was hot on his skin, making him wonder whether the kid imagined himself towering over Hammer, waiting for good head.

He tossed the axe with all the strength he had, but the damn thing swung off its destined path and bounced off the bottom half of the target.

Dex smiled at him and patted his back. “You’ll get the hang of it,” he said and ran over to fetch Hammer’s axe like a good puppy.

“A bit of practice with a buddy before you're confident enough to bring a girl?”

It took Hammer several seconds to realize one of the men from the other lane was talking to him. He turned with a frown to find the guy leaning against the wooden partition as if he had any business watching them.

Dressed in a plaid shirt worn over a T-shirt with some beer company logo, and with stubble covering his flushed complexion, he grinned at Hammer while a woman in an oversized pink sweater attached herself to him with a grin. “Come on, I’m the one who really needs a teacher.”

Her comment somehow pissed Hammer off more. He and Dex came here to have a good time together, not endure unwanted attention of strangers who made dumb fucking assumptions about their life.

And who were they to push some weird dating agenda on him? He was here with a guy, and it wasn’t a fucking trial run.

“Heismy date,” he said, gesturing at Dex.

The boy stalled with two axes in hand but his sheepish smile told Hammer that it was the right thing to say.

The man straightened and his friend approached as well. “That’s just fucking perfect. You gays have to invade everywhere? Can’t a man throw axes with his wife in peace?”

Dex rolled his eyes. “I’m just throwing an axe, notsuckinghis axe.”

The woman in the pink sweater gasped. “This is a family friendly place!”

“There’s no kids around,” Hammer told her. “I have no interest in seeing you hang off him like you’re a sloth baby on its mother either, yet here we are.”

She pulled away from her man, watching him in stunned silence, which her husband instantly picked up on. “You will not speak to my wife like that in front of me!”

“She’s not doing anything with her mouth right now. Might as well speak for herself,” Hammer said, increasingly pissed off.

The other man, a bald dude in his forties, gave his friend a gentle pull. “Let’s not get heated over a small slip-up.”

“We’re not homophobic,” his partner said, stepping in as if she fashioned herself a mediator. “But not everyone is comfortable with such things. Maybe you should tone it down in public?”

“Tone down what?” Hammer asked, even more agitated.

Dex spread his arms, and the two axes held in each hand made him look like a baby Viking about to go on his first raid. “Exactly. No one asked for your stupid comments.”

Hammer should have expected that the plaid-wearing fucker would go for the smaller target, but it still took him by surprise when the bastard stepped from behind the divider and pushed Dex’s chest.

“Why don’t you just get the fuck out of here?” he said with a snarl.
