“Here are your drinks, boys. Let me know if you need anything else.”

I opened my mouth to tell her that what I needed was to sink my cock deep in her pussy and make her mine.

But Dash cut me off, saying something I didn’t catch since I wasn’t paying attention to him. Knight, who was sitting next to me, kicked my foot, and my head twisted in his direction. He flicked his eyes at my woman and gave me a subtle shake of his head. I glared and ignored him, turning back to find her nearly back at the bar.

“What the fuck?” I growled at my brothers.

“Don’t go there, dude,” Dash said before tossing back his shot and chasing it with a swig of beer.

“Why the fuck not?”

“Because if you fuck it up,” Knight groaned, “we won’t be able to drink here anymore.”

“What makes you think I’ll fuck it up?” I’d be fucking all right...but she was mine. No matter what.

“Tell me the last successful relationship you had,” Dash demanded with narrowed eyes.

“Ask me tomorrow.” My head twisted again, my eyes searching out my firecracker. She was laughing with a male bartender, making me frown fiercely. When she put her hand on his arm, I was out of my seat and stalking toward the bar.

I’d never experienced desire like this, never felt possessive or protective of a woman, never felt the need to kidnap her ass and steal her away until I’d branded her as mine with my patch on her back, my ring on her finger, and my baby in her belly. And if somebody objected to my firecracker and me, that was exactly what I’d do.

When I reached the bar, the other female was closest to me and moved in my direction, but something in my expression brought her to a halt. I tilted my head toward my firecracker, and she narrowed her eyes, but then they dropped to my patch and her features relaxed. “Wendy, you’ve got a customer,” she called out before turning her attention to another customer.

Wendy. Her name was cute, but it still seemed to fit just right with her sexy body and confidence.

She pivoted and took a step in my direction, her steps faltering when she saw that it was me. However, she still closed the distance between us and leaned on the bar. “What can I do for you?”

I grinned and took a seat on the stool to my right. “Oh, baby. That list is almost as long as the one of the things I want to do to you.”

Her gray eyes darkened, and she swallowed hard before licking her lips. Then she cleared her throat and cocked her head to the side. “Does that line work often?”

I frowned and locked my gaze with hers, conveying how serious I was when I said, “Wouldn’t know. Never used it before.”

To my surprise, she easily accepted my answer. However, she still shrugged and stood. “I’m pretty sure that list is going to shrink to one item—run away—when you learn who I am.”

I stood to my full height and placed my palms on the shiny, wooden bar top, then leaned forward. Despite her height, I towered over Wendy, and my position brought our faces inches apart. “I’ve never run from anything in my life, little firecracker, and I’m not about to start. And no one—no one—is going to stop me from making you mine.”

Wendy’s breathing picked up, and she bit her lip as her eyes darted away, then back again. There was interest and skepticism in them. “You don’t even know me.”

I cupped the back of her neck with one hand and brought her close enough to brush my lips over hers before releasing her. “I knew you the instant I saw you, baby. Knew you were meant to be mine, and that’s all I needed to know. But if it makes you feel better, what time do you get off?”

“Um…” She glanced at her watch. “In ten minutes.”

I nodded and returned to sitting on the stool. “We’ll get to know each other once you’re done with work.”

“How? We can’t stay here, and I can’t just leave with a stranger. I don’t even know your name,” she countered.

“First”—I ticked off the list on my fingers—“my name is Aiden Banks. My road name is Rider, but you call me Aiden. Second, you damn well know you are safe with a Silver Saint, and third, we can find an all-night diner or something.”

Wendy looked flabbergasted and didn’t speak at first, then she seemed to snap out of her stupor. “Okay, citizen. Meet me back here in ten.”

Her use of biker slang surprised me, but she’d probably picked it up because this bar was a popular watering hole for several MCs. I shook my head and tossed a scowl at the male bartender watching us with a wary expression. He was clearly waiting to see if he needed to step in and protect Wendy. Over my dead fucking body would this fucker get between my woman and me.
