“Sorry about that, as I was saying,” Graham says. “I know that I’m a pain in the fucking ass, but this campaign has to be done, the product is launching for new years, and for us to have everything ready for that, I need you to come up with an advertising campaign by Christmas Eve. Everything else is in the works, Lucas, just need you to do your magic. I’ll pay you fifty million if you get it done by the deadline.”
I scrub a hand down my face. Fucking hell. “Fine, send me a brief of what you want today, Graham and I’ll be on a flight out tomorrow.”
“Lydia is already faxing over everything. She’s also arranging accommodation.”
“Good, I’ll be bringing my intern.” At my words, Cassie raises her head, her eyes wide as she blinks at me.
“It’ll all be sorted for your arrival. I’ll see you tomorrow, Lucas.”
I end the call. “Mallory,” I yell and my assistant comes running into my office. “You’ll be receiving a fax, please ensure that there’s two copies of it. Give one to Ms. Carter. I also need you to arrange the jet, we’re leaving tomorrow.”
“I’ll get that done right away, I’ll email you both with the flight details. Ms. Carter,” she begins. “I’ll have the fax for you to bring home with you.” Mallory doesn’t wait around for an answer and rushes out of the room as quickly as she entered.
“What’s going on?” Cassie questions.
“You done with that?” I ask her.
She nods. “Yes, I’m finished with the design, I need to write up the actual campaign.”
“Good, you can do that when we’re back. Right now, you need to pack up your things, bring home the laptop and everything else. I’m guessing you heard the phone call?”
She nods. “I did.”
“Then you’ll know we have very little time to come up with an advertising campaign, and we’ll need to work on it tonight and tomorrow so when we get to Stormglenn, Montana, we’ll pitch the ideas giving us a head start. We’ll be able to work from there.”
She rises to her feet. “Okay, but isn’t there a storm due in Montana?” she asks softly, her eyes still wide and her lip plump from where her teeth have been biting all day.
“There is, but it’s not meant to get worse until late Christmas Eve. As long as we can get out of the town by then, we’ll be good.”
“Okay, I’ll ensure that I’ll be ready to leave for tomorrow.”
She gathers up her stuff and smiles at me. I can’t help but drop my gaze to her swaying ass while she leaves my office.
Fuck. I have a feeling that this trip is going to be hell.

Chapter Three
Cassie
Yawning, I pad through my rented apartment until I reach the kitchen. It’s been a long night, but it’s also been extremely eye opening to the way the advertising industry works. When Lucas received the phone call yesterday, I couldn’t help but overhear the conversation he was having. Fifty million dollars for one advertisement campaign is crazy money, but the research I did on Graham Lucan last night was very informative, and I discovered the man is one of the biggest household companies in the world. The man is a billionaire, he’s crazy talented and a great inventor.
I worked until three in the morning, where I had to drag my tired ass to bed. I came up with three campaigns, all of which would be great for Mr. Lucan’s newest invention—a brand new GPS system that’s also co-owned with some of the biggest gadget companies in the world. I know that if my work is selected for this, it could catapult my name in the industry and that’s something that is unbelievable for me. Never did I think I could be in this position.
I pour myself a mug of coffee, needing the caffeine to add as an extra booster today as I know it’s going to be busy as hell, between traveling and getting everything ready for the proposals for Mr. Lucan, I doubt I’ll be able to sleep before midnight.
I bring the mug to my lips and sigh as I think about my day yesterday. Seeing Lucas for the first time was surreal. He’s different from what I had expected. I had only ever seen one picture of him, and that was because Becky and I had gone snooping when I first found out that my mom had gotten remarried. The moment he stepped into the office, the air around me went static, it was as though I was blasted with heat, I was unable to breathe, and my body’s temperature was rising, and there was nothing that I could do but let it happen. I started talking trying to distract myself from the reaction my body was having to the man.
I was in shock. Never did I think I’d be attracted to a married man. Let alone the man that’s married to my mother.
My dreams were filled with Lucas and all the wicked things that he would do to me. My mind floods with images of the dreams.
I shake my head.No.I can’t think about him like that.
My doorbell rings, and I frown in confusion. Who the hell could that be?
Opening the door, I’m shocked to see Lucas standing at my doorway. “You’re not ready,” he accuses.
