I’ll hire her. Giving her a job will allow her an insight to the type of man I can be. If she’s scared off in the first week, I’ll know I must move on. However, if the little temptress is still here after a week, I’ll claim her. And that cunt of a brother who seems to think he owns her will have to live with it. Because if he tries to stop me, I’ll provide him with a watery grave.

With my mind set on what I need to do, I step into the shower and allow the water to cascade down my taut muscles. Stress from the day washes away with the stream of hot water and I can’t wait to have Raina in here with me. To see her womanly curves as they drip with warm, soapy water, to feel the slickness of her cunt when I finger her against the tiled wall.

Glancing down, I find my cock jutting out, rock-solid, needing to feel a tight pussy pulsing around it. Fuck, I need to get her here as soon as possible. I grip my steel shaft and stroke it, imagining her mouth, lips, tongue, and fingers teasing me. To watch her swallow my cock down her delicate throat, choking and gagging on the length as I own her face, fucking it into submission with the rest of her body.

It doesn’t take long for my release to shudder through me, sending me over the edge. Jet after jet of hot seed gets washed away and I ease myself back down to earth.

“Gio, are you ready?”Stalking into the ground floor living room, I find him at the bar. He’s nursing a beer, which he immediately picks up and drains when he sees me. Pushing off the stool, he turns and shrugs on his leather jacket.

“Let’s do this, old man.” He chuckles beside me.

“Vaffanculo,” I bite back, cursing him, but all I get is a chuckle from my little brother. He’s twenty-nine. I’m thirty-eight. There are nine years between us, but he likes to remind me I’m getting old.

“I’ll definitely be getting a fuck tonight, and it will be with a pretty pussy. That I can assure you of, Franco.” Confidence oozes from him as we head to the SUV. Lorenzo has the engine running and once we’re both seated, he heads down the long, winding driveway toward the large wrought-iron gates that keep us safe inside the property. Immediately thoughts of what I’m about to do invade my mind and suddenly, for the first time in a long while, I’m looking forward to seeing a woman.

I’ve killed men. Maimed them, cutting limbs from torsos without so much as a flinch, but knowing I’m about to meet those eyes that seemed to beg me to be her savior, I feel like a teenage boy who’s about to go out on his first date. It makes no sense at all.

The ride is silent, which gives me time to gather my thoughts. I need to approach her with an offer she can’t refuse, and if what I’ve learned about her trust fund is true, I know exactly how to reel her in. Her brother holds the bank accounts in his name, but I’ve got more money than God. I can offer her freedom if she chooses it. Only, in my line of work, freedom comes at a price. I wonder how much she’s willing to pay.

When we pull up to The Gin Bar, I exit the car. Gio joins me as we make our way toward the entrance. The name above the door is lit up with green fluorescents. The doors are black with an awning held up by two silver poles. Two large bouncers dressed in all black man the entrance. When they notice our approach, both step aside and push the doors open as we near it. Recognition flits in their expressions and I’m sure they must have a mental list of everyone who’s walked through the doors. I was here just yesterday, and I’m sure they remember. “Gentlemen,” I offer a smirk. They nod silently as we pass.

Upon entering the decadent room that is furnished in black, silver, and charcoal colors, I make a beeline for the bar. I’m struck breathless when she smiles at a patron as she serves his drink. It’s an easy, natural smile that seems to light her innocence from within and bathe her in an ethereal glow. Fuck, I need to have her light shine in me, under me, over me. “Not bad, not bad at all, Franco,” my brother murmurs, and I know he’s doing it to get under my skin.

“Why don’t you go find yourself someone to annoy, Gio.”

“I’m headed right for her,” he informs me with a smile. When I follow his gaze, I notice it’s locked on a pretty blonde sitting in a booth with a dark-haired girl seated opposite. Both incredibly beautiful, but it’s when I notice the blonde glancing behind the bar and offering a wave to Raina that I notice the familiarity between the two.

“Gesù Cristo.” My murmur halts my brother in his tracks, his gaze landing on me, and his brows furrowing in confusion.

He bites out, “What?”

“They’re family, or best friends. I can’t have you fucking around with her.” I gesture with my chin at the girl in the booth.

When Giovanni takes her in, flitting his gaze between the two girls, he nods. “This is going to be fun,” he jokes. Before I have time to stop him, he’s already on his way to the two beauties with a confident stride. Shaking my head, I turn to the bar and settle in a stool. She’s busy with a customer, but as soon as she sets his glass on the counter, her gaze snaps to mine as if she felt my presence.

Time stops. The sounds around us fall silent as if we’re the only people in the dimly lit bar. The air is thick with unspoken desire, heavy with unbound lust, and swarming with unbidden need. “Raina.” My accent and the rasp in my tone send a sensual shiver over her and as she makes her way toward me.

When she smiles, I’m enamored. I’m smitten. I’m fucking feral. The beast within me rages for her. To consume her every thought, every emotion, and ultimately, every orgasm. Everything she feels will be mine and mine alone. No other man will compare. I won’t be her first, but I’ll make sure to be her last. The thought comes to be without question, and I wonder if this little blonde will be able to tame the darkness within me.

“It’s a little bit unfair, you know.” She lifts a crystal tumbler that sparkles like her eyes and turns to grab the whisky I ordered yesterday.

“What is so unfair, Raina?” I question as she sets my drink on the counter atop a black square coaster with an image of a pearl in the center.

“You know my name and I don’t know yours,” she quips, a playful lilt in her voice. Regarding her, I lift the Scotch to my lips and take a long sip before setting the glass down. Control is essential when scoping out a mark, as well as a woman I want. She needs to trust that I can restrain myself when needed, but also, she has to remember, the predator that lies just beneath the surface is one that is ready for the hunt.

“If I tell you my name, mio caro, that will be the end of the anonymity. And who doesn’t like a bit of mystery?” My question is light, tipping my head to the side. I meet her inquisitive gaze. She watches me intently, like she’s waiting for me to do something.

Settling back, I drag my gaze over her face, taking in every inch of her smooth skin, creamy, unmarked. Her makeup is minimal, but her lips shimmer beneath the lights when she moves. Her golden hair is loose and hangs in waves to the middle of her back.

Today, she’s wearing a shimmery silver tank top that looks like it’s a size too big. I’d like to see the curve of her tits, but I’m not that lucky.

“Mystery can be detrimental. Secrets are dangerous.” Her voice is just above a whisper.

“What if I told you I’m a dangerous man, Raina?” I breathe the end of her name, which earns me a beautiful blush on her cheeks.

“What if I told you I wasn’t scared?” she counters. The flirtatious smile she gives me has my cock responding. The way she lifts her chin makes her even more beautiful. The sass she offers is something I enjoy, the banter with a woman who’s not only beautiful, but intelligent enough to challenge me.
