“It’s okay.”
“No, it’s not. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have taken it that far.” He looked tortured, as he tugged and pulled at his dark locks as if he was in some kind of inner turmoil.
“What’s wrong? Did I do it wrong or something?”
He shook his head. “No, of course not. You were perfect.” He took a deep breath. “It’s just that... I fucking lost it back there. I blacked out, my head getting lost in a place I swore I’d never return to. I should’ve stopped when you said red, but I didn’t. It only solidifies the fact that I’m losing my touch at being a good Master. I’m letting things on the outside cloud my judgment and that makes fucking me unsafe. You should always have trust in your Dom, but how can you trust someone that’s so fucked up he’s literally going crazy? Not that it matters much anymore. Once Sabbath sees the marks... he’ll know it was me. Then he’ll fucking kill us both.”
“He won’t see them, Wasp.”
“How can you be so sure?”
I smiled, moving my fingers through his hair. “Because I haven’t fucked Sabbath in so long, and I have no plans on him ever touching me again. That’s why I’ve been helping you all cash in your Hall Passes.”
He pulled away from me.
“Wait... you know about the Hall Passes?”
“I do. And you’re not the first guy to cash his in.”
“I’m not?”
I shook my head. “No. There have been others. It started out as a revenge thing to get back at Sabbath for skating around on me, but now feelings have started to develop and plans have changed. Sabbath is getting way too crazy, and we all want to bring him down.”
“It may be too late for that, Shasta.”
“What do you mean?”
He moved to the corner of the bed, hanging his head in his hands. “Because I should’ve spoken up in Church and stopped them from following him to take down the Crows.”
“Why do you say that?”
He shook his head.
“Because he’s leading them to a slaughter, Shasta. Hoax didn’t kill Nina...”
“... Sabbath did,” I finished for him.
“Wait, you know?”
I nodded. “I had a hunch.”
He tore out his hair. “Fuck, this is so fucked up. Who am I kidding? I’m the one that’s so fucked up.”
I gripped his head, pulling him against my breast that was marked by his teeth.
“It’s going to be okay, Wasp. I promise you that they’ll all come back.”
“How do you know?”
“Because they made me a promise that they would always protect me.”
As if on cue, the roar of motorcycles could be heard off in the distance.
“Shit, they’re already back,” he shouted.
The revelation sprung us both into action. I winced as I pulled on my dress, but I didn’t have time to think about the pain. I had to push it down and pretend I didn’t just get beat into pleasurable submission.
“I’m gonna head to Ramona’s apartment. You figure out why they’re back so early.” I gave him a quick kiss on the lips before disappearing from the room, exiting through the backdoor and disappearing into the shadows just as the first bike pulled into the compound.
