“Sabbath, you didn’t...”

He glanced back at her body and smirked.

“If you’re thinking I gave her an impromptu abortion, you'd be almost right, if the bitch was actually carrying my child.”

“She wasn’t pregnant?”

He shook his head. “No, she fucking lied about it to break me and Shasta up. When I took her to the abortion clinic she freaked out, and told me she wasn’t really pregnant, then she begged me to forgive her. How can I forgive her for that? She’s the reason that Shasta won’t even look at me anymore. She’s the reason my girl left me.”

I shook my head in disbelief. “So, how did her admitting to not being pregnant lead to this?”

His shoulders lifted and he let out a sigh. “She said that she was going to tell Shasta it was all my idea. That I didn’t want her anymore, and I was purposely trying to get her pregnant.”

That didn’t sound like something Nina would say, and it made me wonder if Sabbath was lying or telling the truth?

“I couldn’t let her ruin what was left of my relationship, so I stabbed her. Then I started picturing the fear and hate sleeping with Nina and getting her pregnant brought to Shasta’s eyes, and I completely lost it. Everything went black, and I just started stabbing... and stabbing... her screams only fueling me to keep plunging the blade deep within her chest and stomach. I didn’t stop until her last scream got choked with blood and her thrashing and fighting stilled beneath me.”

I glanced at her naked body and grimaced. “Was that before or after you fucked her?”

He shook his head. “Everything is a blur, I don’t know.”

My stomach coiled with more unease.

“Did you bring what I asked?”

Again, I nodded, trying to process what he wanted me to do. “What do you need it for?”

“To bury the body,” he said softly. “And clean up the mess after we dismember her.”

“Dismember?”

He laughed, and this time the shrill depravity in it made me cower with fear.

“It’ll take the cops years to find every part of her,” he said coldly. “Now come on... help me bury the body.”

I’ll never forget the sound of bone being sawed off flesh, and the cracking of her bones as we took her apart. I threw up so many times that my vomit was nothing more than bile as it left my body, the stench and gruesome act being my undoing.

As long as I had been in the Lewd Outlaws, I'd never had to kill anyone, let alone see a dead body, but Sabbath’s little manic episode changed all that for me. It took us hours to bury the body in various parts of the forest, scattering her parts under big trees of oak, and in the banks of rivers with overgrown weeds and sharp rocks that could slice through flesh.

It took us another three hours just to scrub and clean the cabin from top to bottom, but it still didn’t seem like enough. The evidence was still everywhere, and Sabbath knew it.

“Got a match?” he asked.

“You’re going to burn it to the ground?”

“How else am I supposed to get rid of the leftover evidence?”

“Sabbath, this is the club’s cabin... you can’t just burn it up.”

“Watch me,” he replied, his eyes focusing on a can of kerosine next to the cabin. It was meant to keep the fire going when people stayed over in the cabin, but he had other plans.

Dousing the door with the liquid, he quickly coated the sides with as much as he could, then ran over to the cage I brought with me. We kept road flares in the back just in case one of our bikes broke down, and when he lit that motherfucker up, I watched his psychotic gaze mambo with the sparking flames coming off the stick. And before I could protest, he threw it at the cabin, the flames igniting the kerosine, and our club’s only secret place was engulfed in bright, orange flames.

“Let’s go before the cops get here.”

I turned to follow him, only to feel something plunge into my side, causing me to holler out.

“Tell anyone of what you saw here tonight, Wasp, and you fucking die.” He plunged the blade in deeper, making sure I followed his warning.
