Law

I swear to God, I’m being punished. Life has come fucking full circle and having lusted after my underage wife for even a moment has come to bite me in the ass. The kid is a good one, but hell if it doesn’t mean shit when I see anyone eyeing my only daughter like a fucking dessert. Vivian is as beautiful as her mother and equally as strong. However, unlike Vanessa, Vivian was taught to be kind and generous at her age which only made her ten times more appealing, and Wrench’s boy hasn’t stopped watching her.

“Take it easy, Jacob,” my wife says, pressing her hand to my forearm. We’re standing in the middle of one of our Riders’ cookouts, and my gorgeous sixteen-year-old daughter is standing between three of the Riders’ boys, including Boomer and Mick’s boys. However, it’s the eyes from across the yard that has my attention. They linger with rage-filled jealousy in them. I know that look because I still have moments where I lose my cool when anyone dares look at my wife for more than a decent second.

“I’m trying,” I snarl through clenched teeth

“They’re only talking to her, and all the parents are around.”

“I’m not worried about them.” I bring her hand to my mouth and kiss it, trying to ease the tension in my body.

“Is it Simon?” I turn to my wife with my brow raised.

“How did you know?”

“I don’t think there’s a soul in this room that isn’t aware except Vivian and Simon themselves.”

“He’s got to know why he’s staring at her, and so do I,” I growl.

Vanessa presses her hand to my chest, rubbing it until I look down into her gorgeous blue eyes. “Yes, but it’s more than that. You know he’s been raised properly, so he’s not going to hurt her. Besides, he’s going back to college next week.”

“You’re right. I’m going to have a talk with Wrench.”

“Okay, but I will do you both a favor. I’m going to take her over to the girls, and you can go hang with your buddies before we go. How about that?”

“Sounds good.” Locking her away until she’s an adult sounds much better actually.

“I’ll always be here for you,” she says.

“Hey, that’s my line, woman.”

“I stole it; you better call the sheriff on me.” She winks and then walks away. I most certainly fucking will and bring the damn cuffs later. I text her a minute later with just one emoji, but now, I need a beer.

I’m about to walk into the clubhouse and grab a cold one when Simon Jr comes up to me and hands me a beer. “Here, Sheriff.”

“Trying to butter me up? It won’t work.” My tone is as cold as ice.

“I’m not, Sir.”

“So you’re going to lie straight to my face and tell me that you don’t want to fuck my underage daughter?”

“Mr. Lawrence, my feelings for Vivian are complicated. She’s too young for me.” Well, now I’m fucking insulted.

“So, you think you should covet her, chase all boys to stay away from her while dicking around until she’s of age?”

“Not at all. I’ve got more respect for her than that. Still, it’s a long time until we can even date, and I’m not around while she’s able to date little boys her own age.” He’s hiding his jealousy so damn poorly the poor kid is going to crack his teeth the way he’s clench his jaw.

“Hey, Daddy,” Vivian says, interrupting our conversation. Simon takes a step back like he’s about to be attacked, but I know why. He’s fighting his feelings and keeping his distance is for the best, but Vivian notices it, and the look of pain that hits her face. It shows how little she understands men. Shit.

She looks at him and glares. “West. Don’t worry, I don’t have any interest in you no matter how many girls follow you around, so relax.” She rolls her eyes and then looks back at me. “Daddy, I was coming to ask if we can head over to the house and change into a swimsuit. The guys and I want to go to the lake.”

“The fuck you aren’t,” Simon barks. Good boy. He took the words right out of my mouth without thinking about it. They might be raised right, but they are boys, and my daughter is stacked as hell like her mother. If Simon noticed, so did all these kiddos.

“I don’t recall asking for your permission. You’re not my Daddy.” She sticks her tongue out at him, and I swear to God, if she wasn’t my daughter, I’d be rooting for this kid, but she’s my little princess.

“Sweetheart, actually. Not going to happen. Nice try, though.” She huffs, tosses Simon a dirty look, and then turns on her heel, stomping away.

Simon takes a long pull of his beer. He’s twenty, but no one’s going to say shit, including me, as we’re on private property, and his parents are just feet away. I can’t blame the guy. I’d become fascinated with my wife, even for just a brief moment when I knew it was wrong and she was way younger than me.
