He lowered me gently into the tub, and grinned. “Gonna get towels, then I’m gonna join you.”
“Hurry.”
I studied my ring as he grabbed towels, then he slid in behind me. To say it was a perfect proposal was an understatement.
Wrath
Iopened myeyes to find Sierra’s beautiful face smiling at me.
“Well, that’s a fine way to wake up in the morning,” I said, raising my head to give her a kiss.
Sierra patted my chest. “It’s almost afternoon, fiancé.”
“What?”
“Don’t tell me you forgot you proposed last night.”
“Not that, Moonbeam. What time is it?”
“It’s eleven thirty.” She smiled. “You weresleeping so soundly. I didn’t have the heart to wake you.”
I sat up and stretched my arms. “Jesus, I haven’t slept in like that since I was a kid.”
Sierra bound out of bed, her perfect ass on display as she slid on her yoga pants. “I’ll make us coffee, unless you’d rather have tea.”
“Even if all the coffee in the world disappeared overnight, I could never bring myself to drink leaf water.”
Sierra paused at the door separating our rooms. “I’ll have you know that tea happens to be the most popular drink in the world.”
“Well, I don’t live in the world, I live in America, and in America we drink coffee.”
She raised an eyebrow. “I didn’t know you were sounsophisticatedwhen I accepted your proposal.”
“And now that you know?”
“Pull those covers off so I can make a reassessment of exactly who I’m to marry.”
I tossed the bedding to the floor, revealing my naked body. My cock already half hard just from the sight of her.
“Goddess Venus,” Sierra moaned. “I don’t think I’ll ever get over the sight of that magnificent work of art.”
“If last night’s demonstration of how well it works wasn’t convincing enough, I can show you again right now if you’d like.”
Sierra licked her lips before snapping back to reality. “No. I can’t. I’m already late for yoga, so you need to get dressed before your gorgeous naked bodydistracts me any further.”
“As you wish,” I replied, scanning the room for my belongings. “Have you seen my phone?”
“I think it’s in your jeans pocket, somewhere on the floor. It’s been buzzing all morning.”
I found my jeans wadded up in the corner and pulled out my phone to find I’d received a priority message from Sundance. “Shit!”
“What is it?”
“I’ll have to take a rain check on that coffee, babe. I’ve gotta take off right now.”
“What’s going on?”
“Sundance has called a meeting at six o’clock tonight and my presence is mandatory.”
