“Where are we going?”

He slid off the bed. “I’m gonna run you a bath and while it’s filling, I’m gonna show you the ring.”

I scrambled off the bed, tugging the sheet with me, and holding it between my legs to keep from leaking. “I’m going to pee first.”

“Do your thing.”

I took a few minutes to clean up then made my way to his room. I heard the water running as he walked out of his bathroom and stepped to one of his nightstands, pulling open the drawer, retrieving a small, leather ring box.

My heart raced as he closed the distance between us and opened the box. I couldn’t stop a gasp. Nestled in the black velvet was a gorgeous rhodonite square stone, surrounded in silver filigree with a half-moon nestled inside a sun. “Oh my god, Wrath. This is rhodonite.”

“I know.”

“It helps overcome deep-set trauma,” I rasped. “It’s my heart stone.”

Wrath smiled gently. “That’s what the Google University of Medicine said, so I ran with it.”

“There’s no way an internet search told you rhodonite was my heart stone.” I blinked back tears. “You’ve been listening to me.”

“I’ll neither confirm nor deny.”

“Who made this?”

“Healy.”

“Really?” I ran my finger over the stone. “I thought he did like steel and stuff. Like, for bikes.”

“Yeah, he does, baby, but he works in all types of metal. Including platinum. He’s done jewelry before, so we worked on the design together. Jekyll actually drew it for me.” He took the box back and raised an eyebrow. “So, what’s it gonna be, Sierra?”

“I don’t want a big proposal.”

“Hmm, mmm,” he hummed like he already knew that.

“And I do love you.”

“I know.”

“And it’s a given I could never live without your dick.”

“No doubt.”

“Fine.” I sighed. “I’ll marry you.”

He grinned.

“But…”

He frowned.

“I still want the one knee thing.”

He leaned down and kissed me quickly before getting down on one knee, still buck-naked, and holding up the open box. “Anjanette ‘Sierra’ Felicity McCormick, will you be my forever moonbeam and marry me?”

I smiled. “Yes, Booth Andrew Reid, I will marry you.”

He rose to his feet, slid the ring on my finger, thenkissed me again before lifting me into his arms, and carrying me into the bathroom. “I love you, baby.”

“I love you, too,” I said, cupping his face.
