Briar opened her legs wider for me to have easier access, but I saw how red and raw her flesh was, chafing along the sides. I knew she was doing this to help enhance our beings, but it felt wrong to do so when she suffered. “I’ll be okay, Stag.”

My heart warmed when she gave me a similar nickname to the one I had given to her. Again, it made me feel wrong to hurt her more. Dropping to my knees, I let my tongue lap instantly against the top of her slit before continuing my motions downward.

“Fergus!” she exclaimed my name, unprepared for what I was doing to her. Not leaving an inch of her aching bits untouched, I made sure to swirl and lap against it all to massage her better.

The taste of the others spunk was potent, but I didn’t mind. Briar needed to feel as though she was the center of my world. She was becoming my mate through a union that needed the highest honor to bestow it. Briar wasn’t receiving that kind of ceremony with us, so I had to make sure she knew she would forever be my queen. I ate her for much longer than I should have because she found herself in the throngs of ecstasy, spraying my face with her release.

“Oh fuck,” Alasdair watched as she writhed on the table’s surface from me eating her so diligently.

Pulling back from devouring her delicious cunt, I licked my lips and moaned. “I do not take this bond lightly, Baby Fawn. I want you to know you shall always be placed on the highest pedestal in my life. You will come before everything else.”

“Fergus,” she sighed, her cheeks staining redder than when they were, warm from her orgasm. I knew the others thought I was weak, but love did not make a man weak. It gave us something to fight for. Through our short travels, I could tell why Muir was so smitten by her. When we almost kissed in the grove, I knew there was something almost magical about her. She was made to be our mates, and my soul knew that before this.

“Do you accept me as yours, Baby Fawn?” I bowed my head, waiting for her to answer.

“I do, Stag.” She wanted to cry, but I didn’t want her to feel like she had to forget Muir in our union. Standing back up, I placed the tip of my shaft to split apart her swollen lips.

“You don’t need to forget him when you are with me. I am honored to know my friend loved you enough to sacrifice himself for you. He was worthy to have you, and I hope to honor him when you become mine.” Sheathing my cock all the way in, Briar latched onto my shoulders, hiding her face. Her tears dampened my naked chest because I had removed my shirt waiting for Alasdair to finish.

None of the other men did the same, but I wanted her to feel the heat of my flesh as hers sat against it. Physical touch was an important part of my dynamic because I needed to feel the earth so frequently as well.

Just as Alasdair had done, I barely entered her to make sure I didn’t hurt her. Once I was in all the way, I could already feel the response in my balls. “Forgive me, Baby Fawn. I am not going to last very long. You are too perfect, and I cannot control myself.”

Briar looked up at me, biting down on her lip to reopen the wound for a fifth time. I hurried to bite mine once I pumped a few more times. For some, this might be embarrassing, but I also made sure she was pleasured first.

Sucking the blood from her lip, I now knew the weird craving Alasdair experienced because I wanted to keep tasting her forever. Her blood was like an aphrodisiac. Getting drunk on her was the easiest thing to give in to. She must’ve felt the same.

It wasn’t until Alasdair whistled at me that I understood how far down the rabbit hole I fell. Jerking back, I knew I looked like a young boy sneaking away with some dessert before dinner, and I got caught. “Forgive me. I did not mean to take advantage of you.”

“You did no such thing, Stag.” She kissed my cheek before hopping down from the table to retrieve her clothes. She walked as though something hurt her between the legs, but she never voiced it. “Can someone come get me in a few hours to do the next part? I feel the need for a nap.”

She didn’t wait for us to respond. We watched her leave the kitchen in just her robe as I still stood proudly naked in the middle of the room.

Taking a long bath was the only source of soothing comfort I could get after that. Relaxing just enough to close my eyes, I was thankful for the nymphs that prepared my bath, boiling my water to give me a safe place for a short time. They were all so kind, and some even offered to give me another massage the way Fergus had.

I never knew that to be a thing until he did it to me, but the magic of it was incredible. Bain tasted me down there, but what Fergus did was completely different. A vagina could be massaged and not just on the clit. Sighing, I didn’t let them do that to me because I wanted a moment alone to gather my thoughts.

Once I healed enough, we’d leave and begin our quest to find Morrigan. My mind kept trying to remind me that I had just mated six men, but I couldn’t let myself go there. The level of betrayal I was stooping to in Philip’s name would ruin me after Morrigan had been destroyed.

Sliding my back down lower in the bear claw tub, I wanted to let the water silence everything around me. My long legs went over the curved edge that made it feel like a boat rather than a bath, dangling my feet at the tip of the tub. From the fae men being larger in stature than human men, it didn’t come as a surprise when their tub swallowed me whole. Being consumed in my thoughts, I never heard the door open to the bathroom I was in.

It wasn’t until I felt eyes on me that I finally looked up to see Cullen. Spooked, I noticed he wasn’t staring at my body like a pervert would have been. His eyes never left my face. “I wanted to check on you. I know you are not doing well, so I will refrain from asking that. Is there anything you need?”

“I’ll be fine after some rest,” I reassured him. When he didn’t leave, I knew something else was on his mind. “Is that all?”

“I, um,” he paused. “I wanted to say you were right. Sometimes, this quest has me feeling like it’s easier to ask forgiveness than to ask permission. As the ruler of my people, I haven’t had to see some of the consequences of my actions when deciding different things. You reminded me that everyone has a voice, and yours is rather important with our mission. It’ll take some time for me to correct my behavior, but I wanted to assure you that I would. Try, that is.”

“Oh, I wasn’t prepared for you to say that.” Sitting up more, my legs came back into the water as I curled my knees into my chest to hide myself. I knew my modesty went out the window already, but it made me feel more comfortable for this conversation. “Áine always taught me that people forgive through actions, and I am the same kind of critique. Your words are kind, so I hope you live up to them.”

“Hope for the best,” he started.

“But expect the worst,” I finished. Smirking to myself, I didn’t want him to know that I delighted in him knowing the phrase Áine instilled in me. Philip knew it too, so it raised the question if they learned it when they were all young. When another awkward pause happened, I looked over at him to see what was on his mind this time. I didn’t like seeing the slight hesitation when his eyes cast toward the window. “What are you not telling me?”

“Cian’s wards are down now that his curse has broken.”
