She looked away and started biting her thumbnail.
“Answer me, and stop doing that.”
She looked down and nodded. “Yes. I love you. I’m sorry.”
His brows snapped together. “Why are you sorry?”
“I just don’t know how far you want to go with me, and I don’t want to put pressure on you.”
He gripped her hip. “Baby, let’s get something straight. I want you for the rest of our lives.”
Her mouth dropped open. “What? Really?”
“Yes. Unless you hate the idea.”
Tears filled her eyes, and a huge smile crossed her face. She leaned down and pressed her lips against his. “I want forever with you.”
“Then you call me Daddy.”
“Really?”
“Yes, do you know what a Daddy/little relationship is?” he asked.
“No.”
“It means I’m the Daddy. Not like a father, just the dominant one in our relationship. You do what I say, and I will take the best care of you and make you so happy.”
“Will I make you happy?” she asked.
“Very happy.”
“You know we’ve already been doing that. I always do what you say, right?”
Cole nodded. “Yes, you’re a very good girl.”
“Daddy?”
He grinned. “Yes?”
“Can I take your clothes off?”
Holy Hell.
Chapter Eleven
“Yes, baby, you may.”
She felt her excitement rise as she reached for the bedside light. When she turned back, he already had the t-shirt off and was pulling his pants down.
There were patches of smooth skin where he had been hurt. He had more scars on one side of his body, and she couldn’t hold back her tears as she ran her fingers over him.
“Baby, if they bother you…”
She gasped. “No, Daddy. I’m crying because I can’t imagine the type of pain you were in, and I wish I had been there to take care of you.”
He lifted his hand and cupped her cheek. “I would have hated for you to see that.”
“I don’t care if you turn into a one-eyed toad. I’m always going to love you.”
