“Let go!” I shout in pain. He snaps back, looking like he’s ready to go feral. “I’m not telling you where she is, she’s getting dicked down and doesn’t need her Alpha to come in staking claim on her after you rejected her. You want to rut, fine, find someone else to stick your dick in. But don’t you dare think I’m going to help you fuck and dump.” The vulgarness spewing out of my mouth surprises even me, but there is no way I’m helping him. Not after he rejected her. He’ll have to earn her trust and forgiveness before I open my mouth about her location.

“I picked her up from the library,” Sadie says. I snap my attention to her, growling. “Don’t growl at me, Ronni, he deserves to know where his omega is.” Sadie rolls her eyes, grabbing both me and David, jerking us further into the house.

“You owe her more than a fuck!” I shout as Ian leaves. My body goes rigid when I remember that my biological father is the one helping her, and if Ian gets there. What will he do to Neill.

“Come on!” Sadie pulls me down a long hallway, taking me who knows where.

“Where are you taking me?” I ask, not that I expect her to answer.

“Back to my room,” she says, pulling at my arm.

David lets out a growl. “No. I don’t want her in there.” He stops, dead in his tracks. “She can’t go in there.” David rips his arm out of Sadie’s grip.

“If his nest is in there, I can’t go in there, Sadie. It's an invasion, and if he doesn’t want me in there, then I cannot go in there.” I pull out of her grip. “I’m sorry, David. I understand.”

He snarls at me, digging his feet down, hunching over as if he was ready to fight me. I step back, pulling away from the spot, I’m too close. “Please, Sadie, don’t you have somewhere else I can go?”

Sadie looks from me to David. “Seriously?” Rolling her eyes, she lets out a sigh and turns on her heels, taking us back down the hall. Away from David’s nest.

“Basement,” she says, pulling a door to my right open. “Go or I’ll shove you down the stairs.” She pushes at my arm. I smell the air, smelling the scent of other omegas in the house. Why are there so many omega scents in a house full of Alphas?

Taking the first step down the stairs, the scent hits me harder. Like this is where they take the Omegas. The further down the stairs I go, the stronger the smell. It's like a den down here, dark and cold. The light flickers on, and I see why it smells like it does.

There are cages lining the walls, five per side. That’s ten fucking cages. “I tried to not bring you down here,” Sadie says, shoving me in the back to walk. “This is our Omega farm. Welcome to the collection.” She laughs.

“You’re gonna put her down here?” David’s voice is soft, like he’s scared to be down here.

“If you’re not careful I’ll lock you down here too,” Sadie says, opening the first cage on the left. I’d have to sit on my hands and knees in the cage, there's no room to move in here. I shake my head. “In you go.” I start to panic, feeling my heart jumping out of my chest. “In!” Sadie shoves me into the cage.

I let out a cry as I hit the caged floor hard, my knees bouncing off the metal. There’s no comfort here, no warmth, nothing. This is a prison. She slams the door behind me. “Now, I’ll catch you later, VV.” She blows me kisses and turns to leave.

“Why are you doing this, Sadie? I’ve done nothing to you.” I wrap my fingers around the cold metal bars.

“You exist, Veronica,” Sadie snaps at me. “I hate everything about you. If you’re out of the way, I can take him for myself.” She squats down. “You don’t deserve him.”

“Who?” I ask, trying to keep the lump in my throat down. I will not cry in front of her.

“Dash. He was supposed to be mine,” she growls. I look over at David who lowers his head in shame. “I wanted an Alpha Mate, not a fucking Omega.”

“You can’t just choose your mate, Sadie, you have David. You should be better to him,” I spit. This bitch really thinks Dash will want anything to do with her after he finds out she’s taken me?

“David is from a weak family, the lesser of Alphas. His parents are nothing more than the dirt on my fucking boot. A stepping stone to great power, and you are in the way of that.” Sadie hits the cage hard, rattling the bars against my hand.

“You’ll never have him! He’smine.” Sadie laughs at my claim to Dash, fucking laughs. She leaves me in the cage, standing up and walking away. The footsteps echo as they walk upstairs. “Don’t you leave me in here!” I shout up at her.

The light turns off, and I hear another noise. My eyes slowly adjust to the dark, but there’s someone else in here. “Hello?” My voice cracks as I search for the person making that noise.

“Who are you?” the voice whispers through the basement, cold and broken.

“Who are you?” I ask back, I’m sure they heard the conversation between Sadie and I. So therefore whoever is talking knows who I am.

“Holland West. I’m an Omega that they took shortly after I turned eighteen. I’ve been here a while, but I don’t know how long.” Her voice sounds like it’s at the other end of the room.

“Holland West, I’m Veronica. My Alphas will find me, and I’ll make sure you get out of here too.” I tell her.

“You have Alphas?” she gasps.

“Yes, four of them.” I smile thinking about each of them. Dash’s icy blue eyes, Mitch’s kind heart, Colson’s cute nickname for me, and Darrell, my king Alpha, the one who has always taken care of me, even without me knowing about it.
