“No, actually that could work. Right? You tell me and I tell her?” Mitch says, standing up from the couch. “If you told her that you were going to tell her the truth moving forward, then we need to uphold that.”

“I don’t see why not.” Darrell shrugs his shoulders. I watch as the two of them get up and leave the living room, disappearing into Darrell’s office.

“You gotta chill out, man,” Colson says to Dash.

“Sorry. I’m pent the fuck up. Her last heat was intense, and we weren’t allowed in her room. I nearly broke everything in my room.”

I flinch, feeling bad for them. I never think about how they feel during my heat, all I can think about is how I feel. “Sorry,” I say, looking back at him.

“Nothing to be sorry about. It just sucks that there’s one Omega to four Alphas.” Dash sighs.

“Oh.” I turn my face back away from him. Am I not enough? Does he want someone else?

“Lolli?” I feel Colson sit on the couch next to me. I turn to look at him, feeling the swell in my eyes, I can’t cry right now. Why am I like this? “Whatever is going through your head right now,” he turns my head to look at him, “you are enough,” he says softly, like a whisper of a promise of forever.

“Am I though? There are four of you. I’m just one person. One pitiful Omega, who seems to cry on a whim and locks herself in a room when things don’t go her way.” I tuck my head into my hands, trying really hard not to cry.

“You are enough for all four of us. You’re our mate, no one will ever touch what we have. As much as it pains me to say, it sucks that you don’t want us like we want you. But, we’re here for you, in any capacity. A shoulder to cry on, someone to talk to, to cuddle with, whatever you need, we want to give it to you.” I feel him pull me onto his lap and hold me against his chest, like I’m the only person in the world that matters. I feel it through the touch. “You are my everything.” He places a kiss on my forehead. The calmness in his words settles me, bringing me peace of mind.

I stay like that, curled in his arms until I hear the office door open. I snap to attention, jumping out of Colson’s arms to hear the name of my father.

“And?” I ask.

“Ronni.” Mitch’s voice is soft, like he doesn’t want to tell me. “The second I utter this name, your life changes. You’ll know who your father is.”

“Fucking tell me!” I shout at him.

“Neill. It’s Neill the librarian,” Mitch blurts out.

Neill. No, that’s not possible, I’ve seen him for years. Every time I’ve gone into the library, he’s helped me find books to escape within. I stand there just staring at Mitch as Darrell walks out behind him with a look of sadness. Like he also didn’t want me to know. Neill could have told me earlier, but Darrell threatened him. Telling him to stay away from me.

“You told him to stay away from me?” I look at Darrell as I say that.

“That's because having him too close to you could endanger your life. If anyone puts it together that he’s the Beta Prince, then it’s just a short leap to you being the Princess. I can’t risk that.”

“Yeah, but if I’m already getting money from the funds, then someone knows I’m alive.”

“Your aunt. She’s the current head of security to the usurper, the one who killed your grandparents,” Mitch says. “She’s funneling money to you, to ensure you’re safe, but she doesn’t know where you are. The money goes to an account your mother set up, that Darrell has access to.”

I watch as Darrell pulls his wallet out and hands me the same card he did when I went to the store. “There’s over two million dollars in that account. Your mother only used it when you needed something.”

“I’m sorry, I have two million dollars?” I nearly choke on my words as I hold the card like it could explode.

“Two million, four-hundred and seventy-thousand, six-hundred and twenty-four to be exact,” Darrell spouts off a large as fuck number.

“What am I supposed to do with that kind of money?” I ask, handing him back the card, for fear of losing it.

“It's yours, little one, it’s time you step into your life and come out of the shadows.” Darrell steps up to me, pulling me into a hug. Over two million dollars, that is just mine.

I let out a laugh, I’ve learned so much in the matter of minutes. I’m a fucking Omega Princess, born from the Beta Prince. Both of whom the country think are dead. My father is the librarian, who’s always been a part of my life without me knowing. My mother hid me from everyone, slowly collecting money for me from my aunt, who has no idea where I am.

My next question is obvious, right? What would the country want from an Omega Princess? What could I offer them that my Beta father couldn’t?

Part Two

Chapter One

The confessional box feels like it’s closing in. I've been told that skipping church for weeks at a time and missing confessional for months, is bad for my soul. So, here I am waiting for the preacher man to come hear all my sins. The funny thing is, that if I tell him my true sins, I could come under scrutiny, or worse, be found by the ones who want me dead.
