I was relieved when Ivy walked over, her innocent face darting between me and James, and accepting me with open arms. They both had given us a visit after hearing about Dad’s health and offered me a huge casserole and lots of ice cream.
“Forcefully giving you a car?” Ivy asked.
James crossed his arms and glared at me. “It’s a gift. She’s turning eighteen a day after tomorrow and it’s her birthday gift.”
Aiden nodded as if understanding what I was going through, but then said, “Oh, it’s a gift. Then it’s alright.”
“No, it’s not,” Ivy and I said in unison. We both shared a smile before turning towards the men.
“A car is too much for a gift,” Ivy said, and I exclaimed, ‘Exactly!’ which earned me another glare from James. I bet he was counting how many spanks I was going to get once we get home but I didn’t care. Spanking was fun, but I was going to stand my ground.
“Petal, I bought you a house,” Aiden said with a soft voice to his fiancée. I mentally cooed at the sweet nickname he had for her. “Car is nothing, especially for a birthday gift.”
James narrowed his eyes at the other man and cleared his throat. “Exactly. Car is nothing, Princess. I can get you a house if you want. Anything you want.”

Aiden gave both of us a knowing smile and wrapped his arm around Ivy’s waist. “I think you have to figure this out on your own and talk out your limits for gifts with James.”Thank you, feelings doctor.“I’ve a present I’ve to give Petal, so if you’ll excuse us.”
I winked at Ivy because we all knew what ‘present’ Aiden was talking about. The man couldn’t keep his hands to himself when she was around, and I was glad that both of our houses had thick walls.

My heartbeat doubled hearingthattone, and I moved towards him. His eyes were dark and under the moonlight, his sharp face looked like it belonged to a painting.
“Drive the car, Princess,” he whispered, cupping my cheek and brushing his thumb over my lips. Lifting his eyes from them, he added, “If you don’t accept this present, I’ve tons of other gift ideas.”
I took a step closer and wrapped my arms around him, peering up at his handsome face. “Why don’t you give me the one thing I want?”
“My penis?”
“Something like that.” I rolled my eyes at his grin, blushing at the sight. I loved it when he grinned or laughed. It made his eyes soften and my heart felt mushy.
Leaning down, he kissed my forehead. “Soon, Princess.”
“Come now,” he pulled away and pulled me towards the driver’s seat. “Go take this baby for a ride.”
I sat down on the seat and watched him walk over to the passenger seat and buckle in. Taking a deep breath, I turned on the engine of the car and grinned at the smooth purr.
“I’ve a license, just so you know,” I said and slowly shifted the gear before turning around and focusing on the road.
“I know that, Princess.” I felt his eyes on the side of my face, but I didn’t want to look at him. If I did, I would crash because I wouldn’t be able to look away. “You can drive a little faster, you know?”
“I…” I swallowed the lump in my throat and tightened my hold on the wheel. “I’m scared.”
He didn’t reply for a few moments. “Scared of what?”
“That I’ll crash.” I blinked quickly and my heart tightened just at the thought of it. “And you’ll get hurt.”
