CHAPTER 19
WELLSON
Ileave Silver in her room and go investigate. Something happened while they were out and I want to know what. I find Arrow with his head under the bathroom sink.
“What are you doing?”
I must have startled him because he jumps and smacks his head.
“Shit!” he yelps, then gives me a glare while rubbing the back of his neck. “I’m trying to find some bubble bath for Silver. I thought Hazel left some behind."
I roll my eyes at that. Fucking Hazel was a huge mistake. She still sends me dirty pics every once in a while. Then there was that whole love potion thing...Never accepting a baked goodie from an ex again.
“I think Silver used the last of it the other night.” I look behind me and softly say, “Man, just conjure some. They last way longer than store-bought shit.”
He looks around before creating some long-lasting, relaxing bubbles. Donovan's sister taught us that spell and I still use them myself every once in a while. They make my skin all silky smooth—it's nice.
When he’s done, he shuts the water off, leaving the bathroom. I follow him to the living room where he plops down on the couch and groans.
“Bad day?” I ask, as I sit on the coffee table in front. He leans his head back and grips his hair, tugging.
“I had to use déjà vu powder on her.”
“You did what?!!” I roar.
“Man, shhh. Calm down or she’ll hear you,” he pleads. Jumping up, he grabs my arm and drags me to the corner of the room by the bookshelves, quickly muttering a silencing incantation.
“Please tell me why you would be so stupid? She could have memory loss from that.”
Now I’m the one grabbing my hair and pulling.
“I panicked, man. Jela came over and told her she was being talked about,” he replies, trying to get me to understand.
“Okay, that could have been for a number of reasons. Didn’t scream out that she's a witch though, did it?”
He sighs and moves back to the couch. I remove the silencing spell and sit next to him.
“Anything else I need to know?” I ask.
"She saw through the concealment spell. I think her powers are starting to shine through. It's too soon, right? Her ascension is still months away. And uh, I may have talked to her about us sharing...”
My eyebrows rise at that.Damn, that would be so hot. “What did she say?” I demand, and he laughs.
“Not in the way you’re picturing, brother. At least, I don’t think she’d be into that.”
I burst out laughing. “Oh man, you have no idea what she’s into,” I tell him, thinking back to last night and this morning. I shift, trying to adjust my hardening cock.I wonder if Snow wants some company in the tub.
He snorts next to me and gives me a shove, before standing and walking to the kitchen.
Wait, he never answered me.I get up and chase after him. He’s busy heating up some leftovers in the microwave.
“So what did she say?” I ask again.
He takes his plate out and sets it on the counter. Steam’s rising off the plate and he mutters "So fucking hungry" under his breath. Glancing around to check the coast is clear, he uses his air ability to cool down his pizza before taking a bite.
I groan loudly. “Arrow, seriously—answer me, or I will go interrupt Snow in the bath and ask her.” I move just to do that and he pulls me back with a small cyclone, making my hair all windswept and messy.
“Dude, chill. Honestly, she thought I was joking. Took a bit to convince her that I like her,” he says, then takes another bite of his food.
