“You get prettier every damn time I see you darlin’.” Ruger grins, bouncing his eyebrows at me. He’s got a puppy wrapped in a fleece blanket tucked into his arms; she’s a tiny little thing and needs to be put back with Mercenary’s momma dog. I swear the MC brothers are worse than kids when it comes to a litter of Doberman puppies. Nearly all of them have one at this point.

I laugh at his brazenness. “I’m pretty sure I heard you say the exact same thing, word for word to Honey yesterday.”

“It was Spidey.”

“Suuure,” I tease the Nomad. For being a badass, he sure is a softie when it comes to women. The other Nomads—the two new guys—have kept their distance. I’m not too sure what to make of them yet, besides the fact they’re broody and hot.

“So, tell me about these new females,” he whispers as he leans in close to my ear and a big smile overtakes my face. This guy always has one thing on his mind. Not that I care. It makes him happy.

I’m about to inform him that I know very little about either one of the new hang arounds when Chaos comes to join us. He’s probably heard more than me. “Hey Chaos, do you know much about the new girls?” I ask, effectively taking the attention off me and getting out of talking about them. Looks like Honey may not get attention from anyone after all—the Nomads included.

I’m headed for the kitchen when the bar door swinging open steals my attention from the task. In steps Torch’s ominous figure with Odin headed inside right behind him. Odin’s got Nightmare’s Doberman on a leash, walking her inside as well. I had no idea they were even back. It must’ve been long enough for him to take the dog for a walk, unless Nightmare caught him outside and left the dog with him. My stomach twirls in anticipation just hearing his voice yell across the bar to the other brothers.

The big blond is all smiles as he makes his way inside saying his hellos to everyone, including the Nomads. It seems the ride he was on, doing who knows what, was good for him. He looks happier than when he left. Could he have met a woman? Is that why he appears so relaxed now? What am I saying? Of course he met a woman! They’re bikers and any female in their right mind would jump him in a heartbeat given the chance. Odin and Torch are both unbelievably Alpha and that is sexy as shit, even though I think Torch is probably psycho under those good looks.

I remain rooted in place, as still as a statue, just watching Odin. I really did miss him and as much as it hurts thinking of him with another woman, I’m glad he’s back. Like I said before, I may not be able to have all of him or only be with him, but I won’t complain. I know how the club works and one thing about Odin is that he’s devoted to the Oath Keepers and his brothers. I respect that about him and whoever ends up with him in the future will be a lucky woman.

Mercenary greets him next and finally his eyes find mine. He draws in a breath, and I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or bad as he stares. Mercenary says something that has Odin chuckling and nodding, his good mood is contagious as I find myself grinning, wanting to feel his touch on my skin. A prospect takes the leash to Nightmare’s dog, probably to lead her to the water bowl.

The bar door opens again and the spell I was under from Odin is broken as a hulking, bearded man enters in a white T-shirt and jeans. Doesn’t he know it’s cold in Texas? Especially if he was riding! He flicks his gaze around the room as the brothers suddenly grow quiet, all getting to their feet and staring at the unknown intruder. I’ve never seen the guy before. He’s wearing a plain white T-shirt, fitted faded jeans that have seen better days and riding boots that’re definitely biker approved, but no MC cut or patches of any kind, anywhere. Could he be a potential prospect? Lord, the girls are in for a treat if he is. He’s gorgeous in the dangerous, burly mountain man type of way. He reminds me of a bear, big dark beard, stacked with muscles and not an ounce of body fat anywhere.

“Grizzly!” Viking booms, shuffling through the room of Oath Keepers to greet the guy standing at the door.

Stopping in front of the visitor, both men are nearly even in size. However, the newcomer has shoulders and arms stacked even wider than the president’s. That’s not an easy feat either; it’s rare I ever see a man larger than Viking. At least with him knowing the president, it most likely won’t turn ugly. I don’t know if the PTSD will ever fully go away from the Iron Fists storming the club and terrorizing us. I know the guys will always do what they can to make sure we’re safe, but it’s still in the back of my mind occasionally when that bar door flies open unexpectedly.

Odin cautiously watches their exchange before his brother calls him over. It looks as if he introduces Odin then continues to acknowledge and introduce the other brothers that approach soon after the VP. I’m nosey, so I stay right where I am, observing the entire exchange until they all pick a large booth to sit in and Odin nods, gesturing for me to come over with them.

“Hey,” I offer a wide smile, cataloging how Odin’s cerulean irises sparkle. I plan on dreaming of the color later when I’m alone and can fantasize about whatever the hell I want.

“Cherry,” he rasps, his low sensual timbre skating over me in a caress.Damn, I missed his deep gravelly voice. It was only a few days, woman; pull yourself together!“Let the prospect know we need drinks.” He gestures to the others at the table and they all agree.

As I saunter off toward Frost, who’s behind the bar with Chaos, I overhear the new guy ask who I am. My hips swing a touch more with each step, hoping Odin’s watching. I can tell someone is; my back has pinpricks all over it like they’re staring intently. Hopefully it’s not the bad boy Nomads—Knuckle Buster and Magnum. I have a feeling Magnum is called that because his cock hangs to his knees. These new girls are in for an experience if they decide to take one of them tonight. It’ll be interesting, that’s for certain. Hopefully one of the brothers prewarned them about not being alone with the men as well.

“Frost?” I haven’t spoken to him much. He seems a bit more on the quiet side. I understand how he got his road name though; he’s standoffish and his blond hair’s so light it’s whiter than anything. Pair that with his captivating icy gaze and he could be the Cold Miser himself.

His brows raise, but he doesn’t speak.Typical asshole biker.

“The table over there wanted me to let you know they all need drinks.” I gesture back in the direction I came from.

He nods, and Chaos barks out orders on what all he wants Frost to make for me. It turns out to be a few beers and a couple rocks tumblers of amber liquid, that’s most likely whiskey. Chaos and Blaze are good about memorizing all the members’ usual drinks, makes things easier when ordering refills.

“You want something to drink as well, sweetheart?” Chaos inquires before I turn away with the full tray of alcoholic beverages.

“A double of Patron, please. I could use a heavy pour,” I add with a wink.

He whistles. “Damn! Going heavy tonight, hmm? Better be careful or one of these newbies may carry you off somewhere.”

I snort, and then admit, “So many new faces around here; I’m hoping it may help my nerves.”

He offers a kind smile and squeezes my wrist resting on the bar top.

Frost moves to pour the clear chilled liquor into a short glass before placing it on my tray amongst the others.

Chaos reaches over, sliding an orange onto the rim for me as well. It’s not my first night on tequila around him; he has my order down exactly how I like it.

“Thank you, I appreciate it.”

“You got it, sweetie.” He smirks and then moves to Frost’s side as Saint and Sinner drum up a long ass list of drinks they want made. They should’ve ordered a freaking bottle if they wanted to be toasted quickly. They’re ol’ lady, Jude smiles at me before Saint yanks her in front of him and blocks my view.
