Before he could sayout, she sank to her knees, took his erection in her hand, and lowered her mouth down over its length.

It didn’t take long for him to explode.

He threw back his head, trying not to fist the heavy strands of her wet hair too much as a tsunami of concentrated pleasure smashed over him.

His knees wobbled. A rough, shaky laugh fell from him. Followed by a shakier, “Holy fuck, that was good.”

She released his spent cock, the soft pop reverberating around the shower walls, and slowly straightened to her feet. “I am so glad you dropped your passport,” she said, before stepping from the shower.

He supported himself with one hand against the tiles, watching her wrap her wet body in a dry towel and exit the bathroom. His chest tightened and he closed his eyes, clawing his other hand through his wet hair. Everything had changed. Everything. No way could he let her go. Not to the motel. Not to Newcastle. Not back to the US. He couldn’t. He’d fallen for her. On every possible level. Completely. Utterly. Irreversibly.

He wanted her to stay tonight. He wanted her to stay for Christmas. He wanted her to stay forever. Opening his eyes, he stared blankly at the open bathroom door.

Fuck, what the hell did he do now?

Sitting on the padded bench seat positioned next to the bedroom’s floor-to-ceiling window, Elisa looked at the emoji she’d just typed into her phone, licked at her dry lips, and then hit Send.

“Here we go,” she whispered as the text shot off to her sisters.

She’d lost track of how long she and Angus had spent in his bed, his shower, his bed again. After their last epic bout of amazing sex, they’d chatted a little about getting something to eat. “I’m pretty good at cooking,” Angus had said with a grin—but somehow, neither of them had actually made it out of his bed.

It wasn’t until Elisa had woken and noticed the dusk sky outside that she realized they’d both fallen asleep. She’d carefully extracted herself from his arms, resisted the insanely compelling urge to kiss him awake—and not necessarily on the mouth—and tiptoed out of his room. She’d located her crumpled dress on the floor in the living room, her discarded handbag a little closer to the entry way.

She’d slipped her dress on, sans underwear, dug her phone from her bag and, making sure her phone was on mute, headed back to the bedroom. The view from Angus’s living room was just as stunning as the view from his bedroom, but the problem with the living room was he wasn’t in it.

Being with him, whether he was asleep or awake, was…soothing.

She’d curled on the bench seat next to his bedroom window, woke up her phone, and read all the texts from her sisters she’d missed.

Basically a list of curious face emojis from Zeta, and a koala with a question mark from Bria, and finally one from Bria received only ten minutes ago that simply saidSafety Check Time.

When one of them textedSafety Check Time, the sisters receiving the text would answer with an emoji specific to each sister that let the others know they were okay.

The emoji she’d sent—the artist palette—was her secret code everything was, in fact, okay.

Within a few seconds of sending the artist palette, her phone vibrated with an incoming message.

Zeta: About time you sent us the safe emoji! It’s 8pm!!! I’m going to guess you’re no longer at the zoo? Where are you? In bed? In Angus’s bed? Tell me you’re in Angus’s bed. Was it good? Tell me it was good. It was good, wasn’t it. Reeeeeally good.

A warm pressure wrapped around Elisa’s chest, and she smiled. Very Zeta: kiss and tell was her motto. No, kiss and shout loudly was more like it. She hovered her thumb over her phone’s screen, her stomach fluttering.

Life-changing.she typed.I think

She stopped. What did she think? That she was already in love? Impossible.

Not really. Aren’t we here in Australia because Bria fell in love almost straight away?

But Bria was Bria. Bria was fearless. Brave.Shewasn’t Bria. She was—

Her phone vibrated with a new message. This one from Bria herself.

Bria: We need more than the emoji, Lis. You don’t have to tell us all the details – yet – but at least tell us you’re enjoying yourself. And that we’ll see you at the motel tonight.

Elisa deletedI thinkandLife-changing.Swallowing, she glanced over her shoulder. At the sight of Angus, sprawled naked on his bed, sound asleep and snoring softly, that wonderful warm pressure wrapped around her again.

I’m very much enjoying myself.she typed. And you might see me at the motel. Or you might not.
