We made it home from Luke’s parents’ place a little later than I expected, although I’m surprised by my restraint. I only pulled off to the side of the road twice to make out with him. It was a feat of epic proportions. My entire body was literally leaning into him as I drove. It was probably very, very unsafe. I should have my license revoked.

“No one,” I reply, and Luke rolls his eyes.

“You’re a bad liar. You’re texting your sisters, huh? What are they sayin’ about me?”

“Nothing,” I reply as we walk into the house.

“They still mad about me leaving you?”

I scoff. “No, they’re thrilled we’re back together. They want to throw a party.”

“Hm, I love parties,” he says as he follows me into the kitchen, and just like Jane said, there it is.

“I have something for you,” I begin, feeling suddenly nervous. I take the small box and hold it out to him. “Here.”

Luke eyes it as I slip it into his palm.

“Wonder what this could be,” he says and then pulls the top off slowly.

His lips turn up at the corners and he smirks at me. “Knew it. I’m a fucking mind reader, like Professor X.”

I shift on my feet and arch an eyebrow at him. “So…?”

He holds up the small key to my house. “You gotta ask me first, Eli. Then I’ll say yes.”

I huff in exasperation. “Luke, will you move in with me?”

He sets the box down and rubs a hand over his jaw, making me wait.

“Just answer, yes or no,” I snap. “I can handle the rejection if you don’t want to live with me.”

He chuckles at my little outburst, pulls me into his arms suddenly and lifts me up, setting my ass on the counter.

“Of course, it’s a yes, Eli. We’re getting married, remember?”

I run my hands through his hair and pull his face toward mine. “Fine.”

He grins and presses a kiss to my mouth.

“You sure about this?” he asks, and I nod.

“Yes,” I say, wrapping my legs around his waist and hooking my ankles together.

“That’s good enough for me.”

1 WEEK LATER

“I finally got all my shit from my parents’ house, and I’m officially moved in,” Luke says, flopping down on the couch and spreading his thighs wide.

I stare at them. I thought that this insatiable need to be near him, plastered against him, would fade, but it’s only grown stronger each day. I’m a needy bitch, it seems. Although, Luke never complains. He seems to like feeding the monster inside of me.

“Come here, Eli,” he says. “We need to celebrate the fact that I’m officially moved in.”

I huff, pretending to debate it, but my body is already moving toward his.

I sink down onto his lap and he pulls me into his chest.
