“Doing her show,” Sadie whispered.
“Show? What show?”
“Dancing show.”
I cut my eyes to Storm as my stomach knotted up.
“Jaynee dances?” I would’ve never guessed. She didn’t look like a ballerina, Didn’t think there were full-figured ones.
“Mhm, on the stage with a pole.”
A pole? Jaynee pole danced? Fuck, I didn’t like the sound of that.
“Peanut, what do you see around you? Can you tell me who’s there with you?”
“I see naked girls. I don’t like it, Zander. That man will come back. I don’t want him to talk to me. I want to keep my clothes on.”
“Shit.” A disgusting, nefarious image flashed in my head. I dove for Storm’s trashcan and threw up my supper.
“Hurry the fuck up,” Storm hissed at Grizzly. “The little girl is in danger.”
I wiped my mouth with the back of my shaking hand. White-hot rage detonated inside me. If anyone laid a finger on Sadie, they wouldn’t live to see another day.
“Z-Z-Zander?”
“I’m here, peanut. Did the man touch you?”
“No. He’s creepy.”
I gritted my teeth, my mind racing with what to do to protect Sadie.
“Got it,” Grizzly said. “She’s at the Viper’s Den.”
“Vipers as in TC Vipers MC?” Storm asked, passing a bottled water to me.
Grizzly nodded. “Yeah.”
“Fuck. Their side hustle is porn,” Storm muttered. “We can’t go into Vipers’ territory.”
“The fuck we can’t. I need to get Sadie and Jaynee out of there.” I was going to be sick again. Why the fuck didn’t I force Jaynee to come home with me?
“It’ll be war, man.”
“The Viper’s Den is a public bar. I’ll go alone.” I unhooked my cell and went to the door. “I won’t bring the club into this.”
“Public for civilians. Knights aren’t welcome. You can’t go in like you own the place,” Prez said.
“Are you ordering me to stay?”
“No. I’ll get a crew together. You aren’t going alone.” Storm trotted out of the room. I didn’t think he’d let me go on my own. Not when a little girl was in danger.
“Peanut, you still there?”
“Yes,” she whimpered.
“Stay on the line, sweet girl. I’m coming for you.”
