“Then why don’t you?”

“Because she was mine to protect. I should be the one to fix this. She was my responsibility.”

“You’re wrong, Savage. Kitty belonged to everyone. Everyone feels responsible. Reaper, Ghost, Bullseye, the whole club. You are not the only one who wants retribution. Is there any place that you can think of he might be?” she asked moving further into the bathroom, sitting on the toilet.

“No. I looked everywhere. You’ve been with me. You heard what everyone said. They either hadn’t seen him in years or have no idea where he could be.”

“What about family members?”

“I don’t know Jess. That fucker didn’t have any family. He lived and breathed the club until shit went sideways with Reaper’s dad and he vanished.”

“I know I should have asked before but what is his real name?”

“I only knew him as Acid.”

“Who would know his real identity?”

“Reaper.”

She said nothing as I watched her start to chew on her thumbnail. I noticed she did that a lot when she was thinking. Turning off the water, I reached for a towel and wrapped it around my waist. Stepping out of the shower, I headed back into the bedroom, hearing her follow.

“Well, without any new information, we have no choice. It’s time to go home, Savage.”

She was right.

The only problem I foresaw was would I be welcome.

I abandoned them.

Would they even want to help me?
