Fuck it.

He was insane.

There was no talking with a crazy person.

Well, no one can say I didn’t try.

Temper it was.

“Get. Out.” I screamed.

Walking over to me, he stood before me, eyeing my naked body up and down as if I was some thoroughbred ready for breeding. “You know it will be much easier for you if you just give into to my desires. I can make you feel real good baby. What I can do with my tongue will make you weep.”

I said nothing as he stared down at me.

He sighed, his shoulders slumping. “Okay. Have it your way.” He then slapped my ass before walking out of the room saying, “Clothes are in the hamper. Get dressed. We leave in an hour.”

I didn’t know how long I stood there, naked in the middle of my room, trying to get my heart and breathing under control. Yes, I wanted to bash his skull in but my body, well it wanted to jump on him and ride him into next week.

I was seriously in trouble if he actually meant what he said.

Not that I believed him. I couldn’t. The man was fucking gorgeous. He could have any woman he wanted. Whatever game he was playing, I needed to keep my guard up, because there was no way in hell, I was going to let him win.

My clothes were right where he said they were. After I dressed, I managed to grab a cup of coffee and head downstairs to check on the patients before Savage could find me.

The infirmary was quiet as I descended the stairs. Healer was writing in a chart at his desk, while Reaper was walking back and forth with his son in his arms. Sitting next to Healer I asked, “Did he sleep at all last night?”

Healer grinned. “Nope. I don’t think he’s even put him down yet.”

“How’s Remi?”

“Good. Still out of it but I think she’ll wake up soon.”

“And Ink?”

“Awake, annoying and hungry.”

I smiled. “That’s great.”

“Yeah but he wants a burger and fries. He’s not happy with the broth.”

“I wouldn’t be either,” I chuckled, getting to my feet. “I’ll make the rounds.”

“Savage is looking for you.”

“He can keep looking,” I said walking away, heading for Ink’s room. Placing my cup on the small table outside his room, I grabbed his chart and quickly skimmed it before walking into his room to find him sitting up in bed watching TV.

“Good morning, Ink. I’m Jessica. How are you feeling?”

The handsome young man smiled. “Now that’s what I’m talking about. You are much easier on the eyes than Healer.”

I laughed. “And much nicer. So how are you feeling?”

“Like roadkill but I hear I have you to thank for fixing me up.”

“I just helped. Any pain?”

“Nothing that you can help with since I heard you belong to Savage.”
