“That’s right.”

I looked at Sal and said, “Call Jonathan Savage. Have his crew pick up the Weavers and detain them. Pay them whatever they want.”

“What is going on Gio?” Sal asked.

Shaking my head, I replied, “I need everyone to leave except Reaper.”

When no one moved, I slammed my hand down on my desk, “Now!”

Quickly my family left. As the door closed, I pushed a button on my desk phone. Instantly the call connected. “Marko. Office now and bring Enzo.”

“On our way.”

“Wanna let me in on this?” Reaper asked as he leaned forward, placing his elbows on his knees. “James Weaver is not just an accountant for Family Entertainment. He was also my personal accountant for the family business.”

“So?”

“I was in San Francisco the day Reggie called me and asked to return to the family. I was in the middle of…having a conversation with Weaver.”

“You were interrogating him.”

Nodding, I continued. “Marko found a discrepancy with the personal family ledger.”

“What kind of discrepancy?”

“The five million kind.”

“Got it. Fucker was siphoning funds.”

The door opened and in walked Marko and Enzo. Looking up at both of them, I said, “Weaver lied. I want him killed. His wife too.”

Marko looked at Reaper then back at me, but before he could utter another word, I held up my hand and said, “Reaper, what my family doesn’t know, and I would prefer to keep it that way is my father entered into a contract with Bianchi. My family provides the guns, and Bianchi provides the drugs. I didn’t know about the deal until after my father was killed. Since then, I’ve been trying to find a way to sever ties with Bianchi, but because of the contract my father signed, dissolving the contract would cause a war.”

“That’s why you wanted an alliance with my club. You want to control all the arms and drug distribution in North America. You want my club to be your transports.”

“Yes.”

Reaper nodded, then grinned. “It’s gonna cost you. A lot of shit can go wrong, you know that, right?”

“I do.”

“I got no problem with the guns. We already move our own. But I don’t fuck with drugs.”

“And neither will we, once Bianchi is dead. I have no problem with guns, but drugs are something I can’t stomach.”

Reaper stood, walked over to me, and shook my hand as he said, “Then you’ve got yourself a deal, but you need to tell your siblings soon. Keeping a secret like this will come back to bite you in the ass. Trust me on this.”

Ischia Island, Italy…

Floating across the ocean, I took in the Campanian Archipelago in the Bay of Naples as the boat sped towards the island of Ischia, known for its thermal spas and natural springs.

It was stunning.

The blue waters, vibrant colors, the history of it all.
