“Yeah, come on, man!”
“Let’s fuckin ride!”
Grabbing her hand, I ushered her to my bike. After getting on, I held out my hand, “Put your foot on that peg, baby, and swing that leg over.”
Doing as instructed, Remi climbed on behind me. Grabbing her arms, I tugged until she scooted flush against my back. “Just relax and follow my body. If I go right, you go with me. Don’t tense up and enjoy the ride.” Starting my bike, I felt the familiar rumble and grit of the motor humming all around me. There is just something about being on my bike that comforts me. Maybe it’s the freedom of the ride, the unencumbered nature of the motorcycle as it plows through the air free of the cage civilians crave to make them feel safe. It could be the excitement of danger, knowing that anything could happen, like the rush of adrenaline that sparks when I first start my bike. I can’t really explain it, but it’s exhilarating. But having Remi on my bike behind me gives way to something I wasn’t expecting. Fear. Fear of her getting hurt. Fear of her not being protected as she should be. Fear of something, anything that could happen. Taking things slow.
Wrestling with those new emotions, I start out easy. I don’t have to look to know my brothers are wondering what the hell I’m doing. None of them would understand. None of them had someone at their backs that meant more than their own life. Knowing that one single woman could hold that much sway, that much power over me, was a strange feeling. It was humbling and, yet, annoying.
How did I let Remi seep into my soul so fast? How did I allow it to happen? One minute I was single and fucking my way through northern California and then nothing.
All that mattered was her.
My Remi.
My saving grace.
Looking around me as I rode down the long-deserted road from our property, I started to wonder if having her out in the open was the wisest decision. Everywhere I looked, I saw dangers that could harm her, or worse, kill her. Yet, when she tightened her arms around me, scooting closer, she eased my tensions.
“Go faster!” She yelled over the loud roar of my bike as she tightened her grip. Smiling, I nodded and pushed my bike faster, zooming ahead of the others. I could hear her screams and laughter as we cut a path through the air, our destination somewhere off in the distance. The only thing that mattered was we were together. Speeding threw time in our own little bubble.
I didn’t know how long we were riding, but when I saw the sign for the San Francisco turn off, I slowed and turned to the right, leaving the main road for one of the logging trails. The whole area was filled with them, as the forestry department was hell-bent on plundering the area’s natural resources. I understood the need for lumber, but I couldn’t wrap my head around pillaging the land for everything. Knowing there was a small campsite to my left, I turned my bike and began to slow down.
It was the off-season, and I knew the campsite would be deserted until spring, and I was right. As I pulled into the small area, it was empty. Shutting down my bike, I got off first, which allowed me to help Remi, knowing her legs would be stiff and possibly sore after such a long ride.
“Take it easy, baby,” I said, giving her my hands as she slowly got off my bike. I felt like shit. I shouldn’t have taken her too far from the compound on her first ride.
“Max,” she smiled up at me with a blinding ray of excitement. “That was so much fun.”
I couldn’t hide my smile if I tried. “I’m glad you liked it baby, because we still have to ride home.”
“Not right now though, right?”
“No. We can sit for a bit.”
“Thank you.”
“You did good, Princess. I was sure you were gonna tap out about fifty miles back,” Hellhound said, walking over.
“Naw, Remi’s got stamina,” Shamrock stated, which got him a glare from me as Remi blushed. Shamrock held up his hands, “Not what I meant, Prez. I swear. I just meant that Remi likes a long ride.”
“Dude,” Chaos sighed. “Shut up before you get your ass reaped.”
“Seriously, Sham didn’t your momma teach you manners,” Snake muttered.
“You leave my momma out of this. She is the salt of the earth. Remi knows what I mean, don’t ya Remi?”
Remi blushed and nodded.
“Okay, scout the area, make sure we’re alone. I’m gonna take Remi to the restrooms to get cleaned up and show her around this area. If anyone shows, make them leave.” I said, ushering Remi towards the bathrooms. When I saw Grimm smile, I added, “Alive, Grimm. If anyone shows up, they leave alive.”
Grimm grunted and stomped away, mumbling to himself.
Remi laughed and hugged me tighter.
“Come on, baby, let us get you cleaned up a bit.”
Walking her towards the bathrooms, I couldn’t take my eyes off her glorious ass. She’d just spent the last hour or so on the back of my bike, and she loved every minute of it as if she were born for this life. God, my cock was rock hard, and I wanted to sink it deep into her right now.
