I kept my promise that I wanted her draped in diamonds.

The new watch on my wrist was her present to me, with an inscription on the back that would only the two of us who ever know.

Her eyes found mine, and I felt the first tear trickle down my cheek, surprising even myself that I was showing such emotion. It didn’t make me weak but only stronger than ever.

Leda made her way over to me and reached out, brushing the tear away from my cheek. “You’re crying,” she said, surprise in her voice.

“You look beautiful,” I forced out, taking her hands in mine and bringing them up to my lips. “I’ve never seen anything so beautiful.”

“Stop,” she whispered as I lowered her hands. “I don’t want to cry too.”

I smirked and turned to the priest, giving him a nod.

“You may begin.”

The ceremony was short and before I knew it, I was kissing Leda as we were pronounced man and wife. The ring on my hand didn’t feel like a shackle at all, but almost like a promise of a future that I thought I would never have.

“Well?” she asked as we entered the living room while the others moved around the balcony for the small reception. “How does it feel?”

I pulled her close, pressing my forehead to hers. “Like I should have done it long ago.”

Leda laughed as she threw her arms around my neck, her gaze full of happiness. “I’m glad you waited.”

“Me too,” I answered, nuzzling her neck. “Fuck, you smell like I could eat you right now.”

“Lucas!” she squealed, maneuvering away from my wandering hands. “We have guests! We can’t do that.”

I gave her a wolfish smile. “It’s our wedding day. I don’t know why they would expect anything different from me.”

Leda pressed her hands to my chest and rose up on her tiptoes to brush her lips over mine, her voice taking on that familiar sultry tone that drove me crazy. “Later, Don Valentino. You can strip this dress off, and do whatever you want.”

I brought one of her hands down to the front of my trousers, pressing it against my hard cock.

“What are we going to do about that?” It was a permanent problem I had around her, and I didn’t think that it would ever be any different, honestly.

My wife rolled her eyes, tugging on the lapel of my tux. “Well then, we can’t have you going out there like that.”

Fuck me. “You serious?”

She flashed me one of those smiles that made my blood warm. “Are you coming or not, Don Valentino?”

“I’m coming,” I told her, following her out of the living room and down the hall.

Leda Valentino was meant for me and me alone.
