“I’m ready,” he said, a tiny smirk on his lips. He knew. Vinfucking knewI had a plan.

I dipped my head slightly and offered him a smile in return before I turned to Enzo and stepped forward. “I do have one last thing to say.”

“Say it,” he said, blowing out a breath.

I turned and peered back at Cole. “Cole, is it?”

“Yeah.”

“Hope you can fucking catch.” I yanked the grenade out of my jacket, pulled the pin, and tossed it to him.

He caught it, a look of horror on his face.

I took that moment to grab Bianca as gunfire rang out. My fist collided with E’s face, sending him stumbling back, his nose gushing blood from my hit. Levin swooped in from the shadows and punched Fox in the jaw while Vin struggled to his feet. Levin whirled around and threw Vincent over his shoulder as Fallon covered him.

I already had Bianca in my arms and was rushing toward the door with Levin hot on my heels as the horsemen shouted. Their return gunfire pinged around us in the dim light.

“Fuck. Go, go, go,” Levin grunted.

“Not going to make it,” I shouted.

We dove behind the stack of pallets and barrels, which I fucking prayed weren’t filled with explosives as the grenade went off.

I didn’t know if Cole had thrown it or held onto it like the fucking psychopath I suspected he was. I covered Bianca’s small body with my own, shielding her from shrapnel and debris while Levin did the same for Vin.

Smoke and dust filtered around us. Moments later, Fallon rushed for the door as Levin got up and hefted Vin back over his shoulder. I hauled Bianca against my chest, moving quickly toward the escape. We burst through the exit while the warehouse burned behind us.

Fallon already had the SUV pulled up. Levin and I loaded Vin and Bianca into the back, staying with them as Fallon peeled away into the night.

“Baby,” I whispered, hugging her to me.

She let out a soft groan, letting me know she was OK.

“Thank fuck. Thank you, God.” Tears blurred my vision as I rocked her in my arms.

“Is she OK?” Fallon demanded as he took the corner at breakneck speeds. He glanced over his shoulder at me.

“She’s fine. Just passed out,” I said, looking over to Vin and Levin.

“We need to get him help. Fast,” Levin grumbled, tearing his shirt off, ripping it in half, and wrapping tourniquets around Vincent’s thighs.

I shifted to dig my phone out of my pocket and hit Doc Alan’s name on my speed dial.

“How many?” he asked calmly.

“Two.”

“I’ll see you soon.” He hung up.

I tossed my phone onto the seat and glanced over at Vin again.

“Nice grenade, fucker,” he rasped weakly, his eyes barely open. One was nearly swollen shut. “I was impressed.”

“Anything to impress you, Vin,” I said.

“Shit, that hurts like a bitch,” he hissed as Levin stabilized the knife in his shoulder. “Fuck, man. Those guys don’t play fair.”

“If they lived through that explosion, it won’t be the last time we see them,” I said tightly.
