Arriving before the Salon I park my bike right in front of the door, Hawk and Hunter pull up next to me. “Did you see the two Hades?” Hunter asks as he takes off his helmet.
“Yip, most probably looking for their dead friends,” Hawk says.
“There was also a van parked at the end of our property, did you guys see it?” I ask, but Hunter shakes his head with a raised brow.
“Shit, shit,” Hawk growls as he pulls out his phone.
“What?” I ask.
“Did you scent it?” he asks as he looks at Hunter.
“What? I have my full-face helmet on and it’s a bit difficult to scent anything when wearing it.” Hawk and Hunter are our best trackers because they have the most sensitive noses, they will catch a scent before any of us catch it but at the moment I’m not sure what Hawk is on about but whatever it is has him tensed.
“King, send someone to the end of the property,” he says on the phone. “Dash saw a blue van parked there, and I scented those fucking detergent smells from when we found the trail of the killer.” I tense hearing that. Is it possible that the killer was on our property? He disconnects the call, a scowl on his face. “I hope I’m fucking wrong,” he states.
“Shit, you think he would be so bold?” I ask, wondering if the asshole would go into our property.
“Hey,” Sabre interrupts as he walks towards us. “Sorry if I shouldn’t have brought them, but I thought you guys knew.”
“It’s fine Sabre, we would rather have you with them then if they were alone,” I state, “because knowing them they would more than likely make their way here by themselves, anyway.” I can see him relax, which tells me that he was worried about our reaction.
“How long have they been in there?” Hawk asks, which has Sabre pulling out his phone to look at it.
“About two-and-a-half hours,” he says.
“Damn, I don’t envy you,” Hunter mutters. “When I first met Dakota she worked here, and I can tell you the useless conversation that goes on in there is beyond painful.”
“They wanted to give me a manicure,” Sabre says with a horrified look on his face, which has me grinning and Hunter roaring in amusement as Hawk slaps Sabre playfully on the back.
“Why didn’t you accept prospect? I’m sure red would look great on you, especially when you turn into your wolf.” I see Sabre’s flushed face, but there is a grin on his face.
“Come on kid, let’s go put a stop to this,” I say as I incline my head towards the Salon’s door. We walk inside to see the salon is full, they all quieten when we walk in. “Ladies,” I greet, my eyes turning towards Alaska that is sitting on a couch.
“Well, I think I’m charging you all double today as I bet you didn’t expect to get a treat like this?” Gloria quips as she sees us.
“I’ll pay double if you get them to strip,” I hear Hawk groan from behind me.
“Sorry ladies, the stripping is only for us,” Onix says with a grin as she winks at Hawk.
“You know, sharing is a virtue,” the same woman says with a grin.
“I never said I was virtuous,” Onix says with a wink.
“Are you ready to leave?” Hunter asks as he goes to kneel in front of Dakota.
“Well, we could stay here a couple more hours and be pampered some more, but If you all promise to pamper us at home, we will gladly leave,” Dakota teases which has the woman laughing at her cajoling tone.
“Pampering will definitely be on the menu,” I state as I stroke Alaska’s cheek, seeing her face flush with pleasure.
“Okay, okay, you are all steaming up my display window,” Gloria teases as she walks towards the counter to ring up the treatments. I look over my shoulder and see that Hawk is taking care of the bill, which only leaves me to help Alaska out.
“Are you ready?” I ask.
“Sure, just help me up, please.” I place my hands around her upper arms and help her rise, when I see her wince I freeze. The fact that she’s in pain because of those motherfuckers has my anger rising again. “Okay, now just have to make it to the car,” she says with a smile.
“Why the hell did you come out today, couldn’t this wait until after your feet were better?” I ask as I place my arm around her waist to help her out.
“We just needed some feel-good time,” Onix says from behind us.
