I frowned in confusion. What the hell was he talking about? I decided not to ask. The safest thing I could do was to have him leave because he smelled good. My body was tingling remembering all the delicious things he could do to it.

“It’s not very good parenting to leave your child home alone.”

He pulled his phone from his pocket and showed me the screen on which Mo was sleeping, his mobile with music winding down. “He’s fine. What I need right now is answers.”

I glared at him. “I don’t answer to you.” I couldn’t imagine what he needed answers about unless my date took him or the man he had following me off-guard. Their heads about exploded when I escaped their surveillance during the stalker fiasco.

But that took a plan. With Dirk, it was a simple date. A bad date, but nothing that Noel or Bran needed to poke their nose into. “And my private life is none of your business.”

“You’re one to talk about privacy.”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about. You’re the one skulking about on my property using Mo as an excuse to show up here.”

His jaw tensed telling me I’d hit the mark. The last time he’d come for help with Mo had been a ploy.

“All I’m trying to find out is what you’re up to.”

“Let me say this again since you didn’t hear me the first time. What I’m up to is none of your business.” I stared at him defiantly. Or I tried to.

In my annoyance, I’d leaned into him wanting him to hear me clearly, but in doing so, I was completely ensnared by his sex appeal. The scent of him, the heat of him, it surrounded me and pulled me in like a magnet.

He glared back, equally as annoyed. But then his gaze drifted down to my lips. Danger, danger sounded in my head. Even so, I didn’t disengage. Neither did he.

“What is it about you?” His voice was rough.

“I’m wondering the same about you.”

His gaze returned to my eyes. “I should go.”

My body didn’t like that idea. “You should.”

We stood, staring at each other, electricity between us crackling with greater intensity.

“Fuck.” Noel tugged me in, covering my mouth with his.

Push him away, my brain warned me. My hands pressed on his chest, but instead of pushing, my fingers gripped his shirt making sure he didn’t change his mind.

The dam broke. Our hands were all over each other in a desperate attempt to free ourselves from the confines of our clothes.

I pushed him toward the lounge chair, shoved his pants down and made him sit. I lifted my dress, tossed my panties aside and straddled him.

“Condom…fuck…” Noel’s hands shook as he grappled with his jeans on the ground to pull a condom from his wallet.

“You came prepared.”

“When it comes to you, I have no willpower.”

I loved that. I decided to reward him. I plucked the condom packet from him. “Let me.” I tore it open, taking the condom out. I pinched the tip as I set it on the tip of his dick.

“Jesus, fuck.” He groaned, closing his eyes. “Don’t fuck around, Harper or this will be done before it even begins.”

More words that filled me with feminine sexual power. I rolled the condom down his shaft, playing with his balls once he was completely covered.

His hands gripped my hips. “Fuck me, Harper. Ride me hard.”

I settled my hands on his shoulders as I maneuvered over him. I took my time sinking down, taking him in.

I let out a long sigh as pleasure spread from my core outward.
