“Ain’t seen nothin’ yet,” he remarked. “You ready for a surf lesson?”
“Surf lesson? I haven’t even set foot on the beaches here yet.” Gentry laughed as they pulled away. “Not to mention, I have the balance of a three-legged table.”
“I’m a damn good teacher,” he assured her. “Half the battle is just looking sexy on the beach, and I know you’ll be a natural at that.”
He glanced over to catch her blushing, which only made his cock stir again underneath his swim trunks. She was radiant in the sunshine when they stepped out of the car onto the beach. Gentry pulled her white dress up over her head and left it in the front seat, revealing her slender, curvy body. Seth was entranced by her naked, pale skin so smooth and flawless. The bikini top hugged her breasts, pushing them together to create a dramatic divot of cleavage he wanted to lick. Her bikini bottom barely contained her round, bouncy ass. Her waist was narrow, her legs long and model-esque. The balmy breeze fluttered through her dark hair and dazzled him for a moment.
He took his surfboard and a picnic tote basket out of the back of the car. They made their way down the sandy dunes out to the fluffy white sand. It was mid-morning, and the beach was just starting to populate. The sun was out in full force, the rays glittering across the rolling waves as they built blue and crashed white against the shore.
“It’s magnificent,” Gentry breathed, her doe eyes huge as she gazed out on the water.
“Agreed,” Seth replied softly. But he wasn’t looking at the ocean.
Gentry turned to look at him with the sun shining on her face, her smile crinkling the corners of her eyes. She looked like a mermaid come to shore, a nymph who would slip away like water through his fingers if he let her go.
“Come on,” he said. “Let’s get in the water.”
“Wait! Won’t it be cold?” she protested.
“Just for a second, then it feels good,” he told her. She looked skeptical.
“Okay, I’ll just dip a toe in…” she began, but Seth quickly grabbed her hand and started running toward the waves.
Gentry let out an exhilarated squeal as she let him pull her along, and the two of them went crashing into the water as a wave crested the shallows. Seth wrapped his arms around her as they fell together, laughing and splashing each other. Her body was slick and soft in his embrace. Her breasts pressed against his chest, her long legs wrapping around his waist in the water. They bobbed there just beyond the shallows, holding each other and reveling in the intimacy of their bodies entwined, the salty water lapping around them. Gentry’s hair floated around them as Seth’s eyes dipped down to her lips. He wanted to kiss her so badly. The urge was powerful, almost imperative. But not yet. She meant too much to him to jump into things. He wanted to take his time. Wait for the perfect moment.
So instead, Seth jumped into their surf lesson. The two of them had immeasurable fun playing around, first on the sand, then in the water. He sat her on the board while he paddled out, again and again. A few times, she almost came close to standing up on the board before losing balance and toppling into the ocean. It was a rowdy, messy, slippery good time.
When noon rolled around, they took a break to eat the simple but delicious picnic lunch Seth had packed for them. As they ate turkey sandwiches and munched on fresh-cut strawberries and pineapple, they talked about everything and nothing. He told her ridiculous stories from his days in the police academy. She told him hilarious tales from her childhood in rural Tennessee.
“And that’s what it’s like having a goat farm as a neighbor.”
“I thought I had it bad because my neighbor plays the saxophone.”
“Well, that depends. Is he any good at it?” Gentry joked.
“He’s… improving. He’s no star like you, though.”
“You’re sweet.”
She blushed, matching the faint stain of strawberry juice on her lips. Her wet, salty hair fell in dramatic waves as it slowly dried. Her body glowed under the bright sun. Seth couldn’t resist any longer. He was positively jonesing. As she gazed at him with pure affection in her warm brown eyes, he leaned in and gently cupped her cheek with his hand. She leaned into his touch and Seth closed the gap between them. His lips brushed lightly against hers, then pressed harder as her lips parted. Their tongues slid over one another, exploring as they kissed for the first time. She tasted like saltwater and strawberries, like sunshine and sex. Fireworks exploded in his mind, and his body responded in kind.
“You’re sweeter,” he murmured roughly when they broke apart.
“Whoa,” Gentry breathed.
The heat of the sun overhead couldn’t come close to what crackled between them on the beach blanket. Seth wanted her fiercely. He longed to touch every inch of her smooth flesh, taste the deep, hidden parts of her. He desired her with a ferocity that almost scared him. But his respect for her barely edged out over his lust. It was too soon. She deserved more wooing. More romance before the big plunge. Gentry wasn’t like the other women who came and went for Seth. She was his dream girl, and he was determined to do this right.
So after another hour of lounging around on the beach, Seth took the gentlemanly route and drove her home. That way, she still had plenty of time to clean up and get ready before her performance at Miami Blues that night.
“Thanks for getting me back on time,” Gentry said as the car stopped in front of the building. She turned to look at Seth, eyes shining.
“Of course. Your career is too important to rush the process,” Seth said. “Here, I’ll walk you up.”
The pair of them got out and trekked up the stairs to the third floor. They stopped in front of Gentry’s door, and when she turned back to thank him, Seth leaned in and kissed her again. Just like before, she tasted like heaven. It took all his willpower to pull back and say goodbye.
“I’ll see you again soon?” Gentry asked, biting her lip.
Seth smiled. “You can count on it.”
