Sebastian’s eyes shimmer in the faint light, and then he grabs a knife, stabbing the table, and what a shame. That was real mahogany. “I told you I am working on it.”

I place my glass down, then return to my meal, grabbing my knife and fork. “Well, hurry up then. The longer she’s here, then the harder it will get. That 50k won’t earn itself.”

“Fuck the money...”

Isaac drops his fork, staring at Sebastian aghast. Then his wild green eyes swivel toward me.

Yes. The shit is about to hit the fan. I can only act the part of the distinguished gentleman for so long. Sebastian needs to learn that he’s not the only psychopath around here.

I can be pretty crazy, too. Well, when the mood strikes me.

“Watch it,” I growl in warning, staring down the table at my pack brother, yet his black eyes barely move an inch.

He’s a hard nut to crack. I may be pack leader, but he’s still a force to be reckoned with.

The guy hardly blinks.

Isaac chuckles like a crazed clown next, and it looks like he’s on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Do we have to put him in his straight jacket again?

I roll my eyes, tearing my gaze away from Sebastian. I’m still not through with him yet. He needs to make a decision.

“What’s so funny?” I snap at Isaac.

Isaac stops, and now he meets my gaze with a bright smile. “Come on. Do we really want to fight like this? We’re pack and nothing comes between that. Besides… that omega is a blessing in disguise. Can’t you both see? She made Sebastian hesitate. Look at him. He’s practically cured now. Well, almost...”

We glance at Sebastian, and he looks as if he wants to skin me alive with his knife. His eye twitches, and it looks like he hopped on board the train to Murderville.

He may as well get a yearly pass.

Isaac titters like the Joker again, and I pinch the bridge of my nose. I’m surrounded by idiots. Insane idiots.

Maybe Isaac is right. Maybe the omega is a blessing in disguise, but do we really want to take that risk? There’s far too much at stake.

The last thing we need is to fight amongst ourselves. We need each other. It may not seem that way, but I fucking love these two. I consider them my brothers. We’ve always had each other’s backs, and I would gladly die for them.

But this is just going too far.

Something has to give.

“Tommorow. You have until tommorow to make a decision, Sebastian. If not, then I will make the decision for you. That omega should have been dead by now.”

Sebastian’s eyes glimmer, and then he leaves the table as silent as a ghost, heading out the door. Now it’s just me and the village idiot.

I consider what Isaac said again. Could the omega be a blessing in disguise? Who knows, but I’m not prepared to find out.

Her being here puts all of our lives in danger.
