I sighed, watching her sleep like an angel. Chest softly rising, lips parted with the slight tilt of a smile. She looked like she’d had the best night of her life. I hoped so. Because I’d have to ruin it in the morning.

I stared at the ceiling wondering if I could lessen the blow somehow, counting all the ways she’d hate me once she found out the truth.

I should have told her from the beginning. I should have told her who I was that first conversation. But I didn’t want to risk rejection. I was certain if she knew her father sent me, she’d want nothing to do with me. It made me sick to think about but I had to be honest. I wouldn’t start a relationship on lies. Not with Alicia. If that meant she never wanted to see me again, so be it.

A thin sliver a moonlight grazed her skin, highlighting her cheekbone, the slight swell of her breast, the deep curve of her hips, and in that moment, reveling at her beauty I knew I’d found my other half.

I knew I’d marry her.

If she ever forgave me for lying to her.

Eventually, the soft sounds of Alicia’s steady breathing lulled me to sleep. I woke early the next morning, feeling like hell, dreading the moment I’d have to hurt her. I took a shower, ordered room service and paced the rooms of the King and Queen suite until it arrived. On my third lap through the rooms, I heard the shower running. Alicia was awake. I made my way down the corridor just in time to see her perfect silhouette in the frosted glass shower. I leaned in the doorway, mesmerized, letting my mind think of the life we probably wouldn’t get to have together.

A quick knock at the door to the living area kept me from going too far down that thought train.

“Room service,” called a reedy, nasal voice from the foyer. I thanked the bellhop, signed for the meal and wheeled it in the living area.

“Oooooh! What’d you order?” Alicia said when she spied the cart. She ran into the living room, nude and still glistening from the shower, grabbed a champagne flute, a handful of strawberries and skipped across the room to the veranda. “Come on, let’s have breakfast in the hot tub!” she said.

I smiled and followed her out. God, she was amazing.

“Ahhhh, that’s better.” Alica sank into the steamy water and sipped at her champagne. “My bits are pretty sore, but I intend on fucking you at least a dozen times today so this,” she gestured to the hot tub, “is just what the doctor ordered.” She laid back, letting her head float in the water and took a bite of her strawberry. “What are you waiting for, slow poke? Get in here.”

I got in with her and had a really hard time not staring at her incredible tits, floating and bobbing on the surface of the water.

“You’re acting weird. What’s going on?” she asked popping a hulled strawberry between her lips.

I sighed, taking her hand in mine. “Alicia I have something to tell you.”

She nodded, expression growing concerned. “Okay...”

There was no easy way to say it. “I work for your father. He asked me to keep an eye on you during the ball. Alica, I’m so sorry. I should have been honest about that from the start. And if you don’t want anything to do with me because of it, I’ll understand.”

Alicia shook her head and said the last thing I expected. “Liam I’m a virgin, not an idiot. Well, a former virgin.”

“Wha—”

“You think I didn’t know who you were? I figured it out the moment you said Kase Waldorf was your cousin. You’re Liam Waldorf, my father’s confidant and head of Internal Affairs for the company.”

“You knew? This whole time, you knew? Christ, Alicia, I’ve been so worried.”

Alicia laughed. “Why because the best night of my life with an insanely hot, smart, caring and amazing lover isn’t enough to forgive one tiny lie of omission? Please, I knew who you were and, if I’m honest, I kind of got off on the fact that you were supposed to “protect” me.

I grabbed her face and kissed her until she gasped for air. “Eat your breakfast,” I said when I finally pulled away. “We’ve got a lot of fucking to do before check out.”

Chapter Nine

Alicia

I scarfed down my eggs and toast and let Liam lead me to the bedroom. He toweled me dry, paying attention to every square inch of me, all the while murmuring how beautiful I was and all the dirty things he wanted to do to me. He climbed on the bed and motioned me over. Situating himself on his back, Liam guided me in to a straddle and scooched me up until I was aligned not with his pelvis but with his mouth.

“Lower you sweet little pussy down here, Alicia. I want you to ride my face.”

And I did. Bracing most my weight on the headboard, I sat on Liam’s gorgeous

face. He plunged his tongue deep into me, holding my hips tight, giving me support but allowing me to pivot and rock however I wanted. “Shit, Liam, I’m going to...”

It was the fastest orgasm I’d ever had. I collapsed on top of him, making sure to move off his face before doing so. Liam stroked my hair. “Alicia?”
