“Bond will stay with us for protection the whole time?” I crossed my arms. “How soon did you say we would have to leave?”
“Tonight, or tomorrow. I’ve already asked Sawyer to prepare his jet,” she said. “All that’s left is for you to say yes,I already have a consent from her.”
“You’ve already told her about this idea?” I paced again. “She said yes she would?”
“I did mention that getting married would solve her immediate issues. She is open to the idea.”
“You really think this would show me as mature?” I looped the room, pacing. “It could make me seem reckless.”
“Cota, I know you trust me. Stop delaying and just say yes so we can move forward.”
“Alright, alright. I’ll do it.”

SABRINA
“Now what?” I fidgeted. “Do I get to go to the hotel and get my personal items?”
“Afraid not, Sabrina,” Victoria concentrated on her cell, “unless you tell me there is something extremely important to you.”
I don’t know why I brought that up. I have nothing. I don’t even have a picture of my parents.
“Would I be able to call my parents to let them know what I am doing?”
“We can ask Bond about it,” Victoria smiled. “I’m sure we can figure something out so they don’t worry.”
“Oh, I don’t think they will worry. They sent me away as a very young girl,” I shrugged. “I just want them to know whatever Yury says is a lie. He will try to say I disgraced them.”
“When you speak with them, just say you fell in love and want to follow that dream now,” Victoria said. “We have a lot to do to get this done.”
“Thank you, Mrs. Hawthorne.” I turned then to Murphy. “Thank you, Murphy, for noticing I needed help and giving so much of your time.”
“Oh, this is going to be fun, and you are about to be my cousin.” Murphy grabbed me in a hug. “You are about to be a Hawthorne.”
“Time to move, girls. Bond has messaged me that Yury has many people now looking for Sabrina,” Victoria said. “Word is that he doesn’t know yet if you ran or if something happened to you.”
“He will keep looking. He owns me.”
“We need to take advantage of his not knowing which thing is happening. I have a judge coming here to my penthouse.”
“A judge?” I worried.
“He will marry you. Sienna at the agency has already been filling out the required forms for you to make it all legal.”
“I have a whole team coming to do your hair and makeup.” Murphy clapped her hands. “We need to go look online at some gowns being sent over for you to pick from.”
“All of this is not needed. A simple marriage is all that I require.”
“You are not going to take my fun away, Sabrina. I love doing this.” Murphy took my hand. “Let’s go. Mother, how long do we have?”
“Three hours,” Victoria laughed. “Have fun, but be ready on time. I need to go speak with your groom.”
I forgot to ask who I am marrying. Victoria said her nephew. Is there more than one? I can’t ask, that would seem ungrateful, I think.
“I can smell you thinking,” Murphy said as we entered an office. “What’s going on in that head?”
“I don’t know this saying, “smell you thinking,” I said, confused. “I don’t wear any smells.”
