“You didn’t have a choice to be in his life when you were younger. You didn’t know. It wasn’t your fault.”
“Not sure that changes much of anything when it comes to feelings.”
No, I wasn’t sure it did either.
“I didn’t hook up with him—Steve, I mean. I turned him down.”
My body relaxed. “You didn’t have to.”
“But you’re glad I did.”
And damned if he wasn’t correct. I also really fucking wanted him.
I turned to Ty, leaned in. He didn’t pull back when I licked at the seam of his mouth. He opened for me, let me in before hungrily kissing me back.
Eat shit, Steve!
Because Ty had turned him down and come to find me. He wanted me, and I was so fucking tired of pretending I didn’t want him too.
We deepened the kiss, and when Ty dropped onto his back, I rolled on top of him, grinded our erections together. He tasted like weed and alcohol but like himself too. Minty and familiar.
Still, I pulled back because when we fucked around again, he wasn’t going to be drunk or high.
He smiled. “So glad you’re admitting you have a crush on me.”
“I’m not admitting a damn thing.”
He seemed about to reply but then frowned. “I’m not feeling so hot.”
I jumped off him, and he lay there, breathing heavily, but didn’t throw up. I got into an app on my phone and ordered us a ride, knowing he wasn’t in any shape to hold on to me on my bike. Plus, I didn’t have my extra helmet with me. I trusted that my bike would be safe at Shenanigans.
“Our ride is three minutes out,” I told him. “Can you get up?”
“Can you help me?”
I took his hand and pulled him to his feet. He didn’t let go of me, and I didn’t either. We took a few steps, and then he started to… “What the fuck? Why are you singing ‘Mary Had a Little Lamb’?”
“Distraction so I don’t puke.”
“Fuck my life.”
He didn’t ask where we were going, and I didn’t tell him, not when we got in the car or on the drive. He closed his eyes as we went, and when the car stopped, he sucked in a sharp breath. “Shut up.”
Asher was there, but thankfully there wasn’t a party. He and three guys were playing video games, and when he saw us, he raised a brow at me.
“Hi! I’m Ty. Oh cool, that rhymed.” Ty laughed. I shook my head. “Ooh, I love this game!”
“Nope. We’re going to bed.”
“Why are you so boring?”
Asher snorted, but I just kept walking with Ty to my room. When we got there, I unlocked the door and let us in.
He cocked his head slightly, clearly not drunk enough not to understand I kept my door locked in my own house because there were so many people coming and going.
“I have to pee. I might sit down to do it.” He swayed.
“Jesus, Lacrosse. Maybe don’t drink so much next time.”
“Jesus, Sunshine. You’re not the boss of me.”
He went into the bathroom, giving me a leery look when I followed him in. I watched him piss, then wash his hands. He pulled off his shirt and tossed it to the floor, then stepped out of his shoes, tugged his pants and underwear down, went straight to my bed, and collapsed on it.
Well, okay, then.
I took a leak too, washed up, and stripped, leaving my boxer briefs on. I plucked a bottle of water out of my mini-fridge for him and set it on the nightstand beside the bottle of ibuprofen he’d bought when I was sick.
Then…then I turned off the light and climbed into my bed with Ty.
CHAPTER SIXTEEN
Ty
Music woke me up. I rolled over and looked at Brax, who I was pretty sure had been watching me sleep. The second our eyes met, I gave him a half-grin, the look in his eyes no doubt reflected in mine, and Brax’s mouth slammed down on mine. He kissed me like he was starving and I was his last meal, like he’d been chained just out of reach of water for days, weeks, and he was finally free to drink—and drink he did.
We didn’t part as Brax jerked off his underwear. He rolled on top of me, his hard weight holding me down in a sexy-as-fuck way. He thrust against me, kissed down my throat, making me feel like he was savoring the taste of my skin. “I want you so bad, Ty.”
“I want you too.” I grabbed his ass and pulled him tighter against me.
The music got louder. It didn’t seem to bother Brax, so I tried to ignore it. He reached for the condom and lube on the nightstand…just as his door busted open. His brother stumbled in, along with the other guys who’d been there last night.
