“For your information, Errin… The first time Ro and I dated, he was still a boy and… well, less apelike and definitely less obnoxious.”

“Fi…”

“Well, it’s true. Ever since he’s gone wild on fighting at those MMA things and screwing everything that’s female with a still beating heart, he’s grown into…” she pulled her dainty shoulders and elbows and motioned her arms wide from her waist like a stereotype bodybuilder, “an arrogant, obnoxious, idiot gorilla.”

Errin shook her head, giggling as Fi mimicked Ronan. Brennan grabbed Errin’s hand in his and squeezed. She looked up to him, smiling, and he sucked in a breath. Showing Errin around his family’s farm where Fianna worked with the horses had been exactly what they needed today.

When he was younger, he’d spent lots of weekends with his brothers and some Ryan sisters at the farm his aunt Shauni and her husband Roger ran.

His cousin Emmy experimented with own-farmed products from the fields while growing up. Her mother Shauni never cooked as good as Emmy, and her entire family applauded Emmy when she suggested taking over the cooking for the farmhands and their family.

After screwing each other’s brains out this morning, he’d figured he should take Errin outside to get her away from every flat surface he could fuck her on. And by doing so, he wanted to show her another side of Texas, just a few miles outside of Austin.

They’d spent the afternoon petting kittens, looking at some pigs rolling around in mud and walking around in the open air without a care in the world. He was deluding himself.

But fuck if he would not take all of her time she had left in Austin. She’d said she was flying to Jersey during Lucky’s renovation and leaving this Wednesday. It gave them three more days together.

He would make most of it. In other words, leave this horseshit smelling stable to take her home with him.

“Okay. We’re heading back. Thanks again for showing us around, Fi.”

“No problem. See you later, Errin,” Fianna said as she turned to Errin.

“Yeah, thanks Fianna for giving me a tour. Are you still coming on Tuesday? We can have a drink together before I leave,” Errin said.

“Wouldn’t miss it. It’s just us girl's right?” Fi said before she picked up a bucket with water.

“We’re joining you girls later at Thomas Tavern. I’m not missing out on Errin’s last night in Austin,” Brennan said while stroking the apple of Errin’s cheek.

“We as in the Mills testosterone brigade?” Fianna said before she pursed her lips.

“Ha! I’m so glad my last name is Moore.”

Brennan turned around to the voice of his cousin Ryan, Emmy’s brother. The poor guy had five younger sisters.

Not that he would ever ridicule him or anything; the big fucker could take him out cold with a single shot. Those bales of hay were natural deadlifts, making him even stronger than his MMA fighting brother.

“Hey, Ry. How’s it going, Cuz?” He grabbed Ryan’s hand and tugged him in a one-armed man hug. Ryan slapped his back, and Brennan did his best to hide his grimace.

His cousin didn’t throw his force around to establish dominance. He often was unaware of his own strength when he slung his big guns around. Brennan was sure Ryan was even holding back.

“All good. I’d like you to meet Errin. She’s… erm, she—” Before he could make a bigger arse of himself, Errin stepped up with her hand stretched out in front of her.

“Hi, Ryan. You’re Emmy’s brother, right? Hi. I’m Errin. I work with your sister at Lucky.” They shook hands and Brennan let go of the breath he was holding.

“You’reErrin?” Ryan asked with a smirk as he took the time to trail his brown eyes over Errin’s tight fitted jeans, up to her small waist, over her perky breasts beneath Brennan’s borrowed T-shirt and finally resting his eyes on her face. This was the second cousin he wanted to knock the fuck out for blatantly eyeing Errin.

Errin placed her fisted hands on top of her hips and jutted her chin toward Ryan who now had his eyebrows raised so high, they reached the black locks of hair that fell over his forehead.

“Why don’t you believe I’m Errin?” Errin said as she cocked her head. Fianna snickered while scooping up some horseshit with a shovel. “Here we go…” Fianna singsonged before dumping a pile of manure into a wheelbarrow.

Ryan held up his hand and said, “Ah, sorry. Don’t mean to offend you. It’s just… well, let’s say at first glance, you look nothing like the spitfire my sister described you as.”

Brennan took a step closer to Errin’s back and held her small hips in his hands. She glanced over her shoulder at Brennan and grinned as she said, “Hmm. Okay. I get that a lot.”

Ryan looked over Errin’s head at Brennan and with one shared look between cousins, Brennan told Ryan to back off from his girl. Ryan gave him a curt nod and said, “So, Errin. How d'ya like our farm?”

“I love it! Can’t wait to come back sometime.”
