Cullen grinned. “I know.”

After they ordered, Cullen set his arm on the booth behind her, his other arm on the table in front of her, and turned her way.

“I want you to come home with me when we get back to town,” he said. “It’s where you belong.”

“What about Kiera? I can’t just ditch her.”

“Let’s talk to them and see what they think.”

Cullen turned toward the other two. “Guys, I want to take Hannah to my house when we get back. We have a lot to iron out, but we don’t want to leave you guys.”

Rhys looked at Kiera. “Would you be okay with going home with me? We have a guest room set up already.”

“Oh, I don’t know,” Kiera said and bit her lip.

“I can always come home with you and get you situated,” Hannah said.

“I think I’ll be okay,” Kiera said. “He’s your brother, and I know you wouldn’t leave me with him if it weren’t okay.”

“I can tell you with a hundred percent certainty that my brother would never hurt you. In fact, I think you’ll have fun. I won’t be gone forever. Just overnight.”

Cullen grinned. “We’ll see, little bird.”

“Why does he call you that?” Kiera asked.

Cullen chuckled. “I knew her when she was younger. Rhys and I were in high school together. Every time I saw her, she was flying around and never still, so I started calling her bird. When we started seeing each other, I started calling her my little bird.”

“She’s still fidgets, doesn’t she?” Kiera asked and grinned.

“Yup. It’s hard for me to keep up with her sometimes.”

She jabbed her elbow into his side. “Maybe if you weren’t so much older than me.”

Rhys and Kiera laughed when Cullen growled and started tickling her.

“Stop, Cullen.” He knew she hated to be tickled.

“Do you know what you’d like to order?” the waitress said.

Cullen gave her their order, and Rhys gave her his and Kiera’s.

They talked about Cullen’s business and what Rhys was up to in the company while they waited for their food.

“What do you see yourself doing in the future, Kiera?” Cullen asked.

“You mean my dreams?”

“Yeah.”

“I’d like to have a family someday, but until then, if I could get a job helping people, I’d be thrilled.”

“We’ll find something in the business,” Rhys said. “The people we work for are always looking for hard-working people.”

“I do work hard.”

They talked, but Hannah was stuck back at Kiera wanting a family. God, what was she doing? She knew Cullen wanted kids someday, and there was a possibility she wouldn’t be able to have them.

“What’s wrong, baby?” Cullen asked and smoothed the hair from her face.
